  1. I guess I'm the odd man here, I'd like the ElCamino (Spanish for "The Camino"if anyone remembers that line) but have no interest in the bike.
  2. The only 50's car I ever heard anything like that about were the early 50's Chrysler products. After a good start the 70's quickly became the decade of lowered expectations, smog motors that wouldn't idle or stay running when cold, bumpers that looked like a section of guard rail bolted on both ends, 140 HP Z/28's and Corvettes, stick on moldings that didn't stick, poor build quality, ect. And what did they give us? Padded vinyl tops, "opera" windows and "pillow look" seat cushions. I'll pass.
  3. The 70's were a down time for the model companies, no promo business to fund the tooling and lack of the boom sales numbers of the 60's meant these cars weren't kitted at that time. Most gear heads think of the 70's cars as low performance tacky poor build quality waste of time.
  4. Model car world resins list both a 64 and 65 Cutlass, I think both are 442's.
  5. I can't seem to find one, cast or JoHan. Just wondering. 88 or 98 hardtop.
  6. 1957 Olds 2 door hardtop 88 with the tri-power mill. 1960 Chrysler 300 F hardtop. MGA Roadster.
  7. Is that kit a true TT, or just a delivery body on the car chassis?
  8. Welcome! Central Indiana (Pendleton) here.
  9. Personalty I'd strip and re paint it and build it, most likely with a chassis from the newer 67 Mustang kit. But it's your model.
  10. Thanks guys! I knew the old kit was wrong and wanted something all in one box!
  11. If I'm correct the most recent Round 2 tooled snap kit of the General Lee is the one to have, short of building the Revell kit with aftermarket wheels and decals, am I right? What box art am I looking for? Thanks in advance.
  12. There's some great work there. Again, wow!
  13. There must have been an engine swap in the Happy Days RPU. I remember the upside down street headers on the show but don't ever remember seeing it flathead powered.
  14. Delray was an upgraded vinyl interior on 55 through 57 Chevy 210's before becoming a separate series in 58. So the Revell 56kit is not a Belair, but still builds a very nice stock family car.
  15. I love and respect Porsches, gut I don't see this as any different then putting an LS engine in a first generation Camaro , or a 32Ford for that matter. People swap engines (and now motors too apparently). It's nothing that I'd do or want but to each their own. I can't imagine what the weight of the batterys did to the handling. And I like to go places, not stay near home and look at my car on a charger.
  16. The Revell Yenko and Pace car 69 Camaro kits have a nice 4 barrel 427, externally the same as a 454.
  17. Cool! Wern't too many Squires made.
  18. I went last spring, looking for info on the next show, anyone have dates?
