Rob Hall
Approx. 1200 unbuilt, 250 restorable old kits, and maybe 150 that I've built. Not counting resin kits and promos.. Edited July 10, 2015 by Rob Hall

Mike Kucaba
Enough to fill a 10x20 storage unit. And I go to 6 shows a year to try and thin the herd.
Aaronw
We have a room we just use for storage, my wife refers to it as "The hobby shop". It does have full length shelves filled with kits on either side but it is far from a room filled with models... so obviously I need to get more. Mike_G
I have about 50 kits, maybe 10 of which I'm interested in building
The70judgeman
I have no idea. They're in stacks, on shelves, and in boxes in the basement. Also have a few boxes of kits in a bedroom closet that haven't made it downstairs yet. Probably up to a couple hundred? Never counted. horsepower
Between 400 & 500 I would guess. How many would it take to line three walls and four rows deep of models stacked up to ten feet high in a 40 x 60 shop? I quit counting years ago, plus I have the top of our closet, and one wall in our bedroom, and under the queen size bed covered too.
ChrisR
I keep a list: 2382
Mr Stock
I must be getting upto 135 kits now, I buy and sell now and again but my buying ratio is always more ! lol.
ChrisBcritter
About 100 finished on the shelf and 100 more ranging from unbuilt to builtups to stalled projects waiting for inspiration or parts or paint or some combination of the above. Mark72JPS
Somewhere between 100 and 150. At one point I had around 3,000 kits, but sold off most of that ten years ago.
tbill
Right around the 500 mark, my buy to build ratio is out of hand......
om617
Around 60 unbuilt from the 80s,90s and today. Around 10 unbuilt from the 60s and 70s. There is around 30 vintage restore projects. 10 resin kits and a box of parts cars/donors where there are around 14 cars. Very humble collection compared to some on here. Only bought one modern kit this year, the 67 Camaro 2 in 1. Fixing the oldies is expensive, and i try save up some to get the Moebius Pontiac`s and Plymouth. crazyjim
About 90 kits waiting to be built.
Jantrix
Right now. 32 unbuilt - with plans to build 6 parts kits 3 trade stock 8 WIP's that I'm inspired to finish. 5 more WIPs that are low priority, that I may or may not finish during my lifetime. total - 54 I'm pretty comfortable with that number. I've plans to get the new '29 roadster when it comes out, but that's about it. Edited July 10, 2015 by Jantrix
mustang1989
I've got about 60 in the stash right now and have plans on 3 more in my immediate future. I am planning to thin it out by a good 10 kits though.
disabled modeler
No where near enough...building to pass the time and because I love it I go through a lot of them...always in need of more.
oldnslow
Stopped counting when they went over 5000, yes 3 zeros, still buy new stuff when it comes out or find rare kits at swap meets and flea markets. I've been building for over 55 years so there is a lot projects that I jump around on, probably 30 or 40. Can you say AADA?
imarriedawitch
Wait a minute. I thought the time to build the kits came with the kits. I figured with a stash of 700 to 800 kits I'd live for a really long time.
High octane
With ALL the unbuilt kits that many of us have, it is really hard to grasp the fact that many modelers/collectors are "chompin' at the bit" for the newest release to be on the hobby shop shelves. It's INSANE!
