maltsr Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Revell Jaguar XKSS painted with Tamiya Deep Metallic Blue. Aftermarket plug wires added but otherwise box stock. Couldn't get the hinged bonnet to work (same problem as with the E-Type) but otherwise happy.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I like it. I saw this kit not long ago, and wanted to get it. Though, not at the price most people want for it. They're a beautiful car. Got to see one in Charleston not too long ago.
MrObsessive Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Very nice! This can be one heck of a kit to get together. I do remember when I built mine (converted it to a D-Type), there were some troubles getting the hood to fit and open/close properly. I just don't remember what I did to fix it as this was nearly 20 years ago when I built it. Just the same, very clean and terrific build! 1 hour ago, Hard_2_Handle_454 said: I like it. Yeah, they can be pricey, but if you keep checking, they do turn up for reasonable prices at times-----especially the reissues.

Ran into the same problem you did. I hated the frame for the engine and hood, not to mention the horrid directions.
Bainford Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Nice looking model of one of the most awesome sports cars ever built. The dark blue looks right at home on the old Jag. Nicely done.
Phildaupho Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Beautiful model of a beautiful car. Glad I have one in my stash.
aurfalien Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Hi, This looks so very superb! I've read several reviews/articles on this very kit, being a total nightmare. So I won't be getting one thank you
Dominik Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 beautiful "not green" - well done! Looks pretty nice.
Red318 Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 Really good looking. I've heard this is a tough kit to put together so well done getting it to that standard.
Eric Macleod Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 I have built a couple Jaguar models and the fit has invariably been horrendous. You have gotten a really beautiful result out of a challenging kit. Well done.
