I had to say goodbye to an old friend Kodi today. We spent 13 years together and I am going to miss him greatly. I will miss our walks ,dog agility and his coming in my hobby room to check on me. I know some of you have pets so I know you can appreciate how much they add to our lives.

Rest in peace my friend, you will be loved and missed.

Sorry to read this. The loss of a pet is always tough.

My mum recently had to say goodbye to her black lab, Isabelle. She was also 13 years old, with bad arthritis.

Ah,Sorry dude,I know how you feel I lost 3 cats in about 2 years The Father(Jet black gold eyes, funniest cat in the world)The mother,I had for about 18 years,Calico, and then their baby, only 6 yos, also jet black.I guess black was the stronger gene.Anyway the Mother and baby died of cancer. But the father was a shock.I just found him passed away on his couch....They were great, but that’s it for me with furry pets.Anyway, this is about Kodi passing away,Again,I’m sorry for your lose.Hang in there,it gets easier with time.I swear.?

You can tell from the look on his face, he lived the good, happy life.

Condolences from me and my furry foursome...?

Looks like a great happy dog. I'm sure you gave him a long fulfilling life so keep that thought and hopefully it will take just a little bit of the hurt away. My thoughts are with you.

My condolences for your lose. This is like loosing some member of the family, since they are a member. Always think of him and the good times together and all the silly things he would do that made you laugh.

Thanks Carl, I appreciate your kind reply. We have two other dogs and one is older than Kodi. He is underdog .  They say you know when it is time to get another one, I won't wait too long .

The dog just may tell you it's time to have them in your life, I have a chewawa dachshund mix that happened with. Little brat just would not go away and I'm personally a big dog person.....now I have a cat that barks!! Been a good dog though.

Thanks for the laugh Richard. Cat that barks LOL! We have one of those too . Not the size but we were not planning to have three dogs , all over 60 lbs. We found our youngest on the street and when no one came to claim her , she stayed. Now we have two.
