AmericanMuscleFan Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Great project Joakim! It's a drag car so it's right up my alley!!! ? I assume that your parts are printed using SLA (photopolymer resin) and not FDM as they look very clean and accurate? I read somewhere that 3d parts are very sensitive to sunlight. Do you know if paint can protect the parts from distortion? Maybe an experienced modeler with 3d printed parts can answer this question? Anyway, I love 3d technology, it offers so many possibilities.
TransAmMike Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Well I can sure tell this is gonna be awesome, I'm watchin'?? 1

Yes it's SLA and using Anycubic photon mono printers. It's UV light that hardens the resin and i have not noticed any distortion after. the resin becoms more brittel if hardened too much. my parts is cured under uv light for 7 minutes after finished printing.
Ghost_33 Posted October 31, 2021 Author Posted October 31, 2021 I really think i will go for the bigger wheel to the right
TransAmMike Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 My 2 cents, if it's gonna be a true old style drag racer, the one's on the left. The larger with low profile tires is more of a resto mod look. What you guy's think??
John Pol Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Your right there Mike its a drag car not a donk

Zippi Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Yeah....the tires on the right are more of a classic cruiser style. I'd go with the ones on the left.
Ghost_33 Posted November 1, 2021 Author Posted November 1, 2021 Hmmm wheel choise in the front shall be decided later on when chassi and body is together and can see how it looks with stance and everything.
Zen Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Just wondering why the 6 lug wheels for a drag car?

You have to be fairly specific in your search but there is a ton of great stuff on cults for model cars. Try BlackBox and MCSDESIGN, from there it can lead you down the rabbit hole
Zippi Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 The blower engine looks pretty kewl. I like new toys ☺ The rear wheels look nice and wide for some big ol meats.

I've tried to be specific with my searches but I still get a lot of stuff that's not even close. Now I just click on all the various tags that are associated with the item I'm looking at.
TransAmMike Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Man Joakim, your '67 is coming out great. ? 1
