Reviving '67 Bumble Bee Project

I started this in 2017 for the Cannonball Run Comm. Build, and just got busy...or...??

This is the '67 Camaro Bumble Bee. Conversion parts are from C1 Models, and scratch building the rest.

I made a jig to etch in the side detail that is missing from the kit body and removed the front seam lines.

Updates; lowered the stance in front, made new springs in rear to raise it a bit. Inserted motor, fabricated entire exhaust. Now working on the interior, fabbed the roll cage, adding racing seats, and customizing the dash and console.

Amazing details, it looks awesome!!

No..no.. I've been there!

Just keep watching the guys on here and experiment, learn, have fun with it. I'm still trying to improve my finish painting skills...now that can be frustrating!

Thanks for the compliments, it's been going well this time around.

An update, these are in process parts I've been working on. I finally received the LS Intake from Clearly Scale, and fabricated an air duct and some coil pack covers.

The grills pictured are of course stock, then the C1 version, and my replication. The C1 grill is short and looks like window screen. I'm using the custom grills from the AMT 64 Impala to make it like the 1:1. I plan to cut out the stock grill, and fill with my version

So I realized I never updated this build. In the following month of the last post, I stripped the paint, touched up the body work and repainted the black. It's been in the paint drying cabinet since then.

I hope to get a paint booth in by winter to apply the clear. I don't want to strip this one again.
