The springs on the straps are unique to early open wheelers - Tom’s Model works - which has an early aviation and miltary focus - has these in its catalog - thank you Tom …. The buckles are made from .012 nickel rod and a short length of .022 tube … 1
absmiami Posted April 3, 2023 Author Posted April 3, 2023 The second part that is sourced fr Etzell’s 91 kit is the exhaust mamifold - Chris had his casted in white metal - he had planned to do a fr dr 91 kit - which is what Bradford has casted - All of Brad’s parts are resin - so my manifold is resin - with some slight mods to the location of the cyl head pegs…

absmiami Posted April 10, 2023 Author Posted April 10, 2023 So the assemblies are finally coming together - with mixed reviews - the body was glued to the frame - i got a good fit - but the gas pedal was knocked loose in the install - and the steering wheel should actually mount higher - but that can’t be fixed on this build - maybe when i make the sister car- the Boyle Special … and i decided to add some contrasting brown to the seat for a weathering effect …

absmiami Posted April 12, 2023 Author Posted April 12, 2023 Engine’s in - w the cross brace in front - used epoxy to get a reasonably good setting in the frame - the pipe that emerges fr behind the supercharger and then curves below the frame is the intake for the carbureter … and the exhaust manifold is now epoxied to the cyl head - so i can now set the exhaust pipe … 1

The pipe with the red banding is the feeder for the manifold - and i managed to install the in/out lines for the oil pump that is located at the forward corner of the sump pan…
