You have any pics of the car's IP in your mega library? Don't know if it differs from the setup when the car became flip flop.

Gramps46
Pierre, I am afraid I do not a any photos of the interior and iP CSX2196 before it became the Flip Top though my guess would be a stock dash.
Pierre Rivard
Thanks Gary, I will then have to make an educated guess. Thinking it was a unique arrangement because no gauges can be seen on the only picture I have showing a partial view of the dash.

absmiami
And an opening in the roof just in front of the leading edge of the rear glass …. This was made with a scribed outline and dug out with an Xacto knife - this feature is unique to 2287 - I think - and was gone by the time that 2287 did its salt flat speed trials in 65 …
absmiami
2287 raced at Sebring as a prototype - all of the openings on the bodywork were moved or changed ovee the course of the racing season as team Shelby found better and more efficient ways to manage airflow for the car - the following coupes had these features - so the Bradford kit makes an accurate ‘65 Daytona Coupe - these are the changes to make the Sebring car …
Pierre Rivard
Fill holes that shouldn't be there, carve holes that should have been there. That's what makes the hobby so rewarding. 🤪
absmiami
Some internet sleuthing has uncovered a photo of 2287’s tail that appears to show some radiator material in the “mail slot” - suggesting that a rear end oil cooler was sited there - but where did it go after Daytona and Sebring ? absmiami
Pete Brock’s design of the prototype was iconic - and influenced gererations of coupe builders - my ‘86 RX7 had an opening glass hatch lifted straight from his design - neede a couple of dunks in hot water to get the correct shape - but I got it -

I never noticed that before, but it disappeared soon after. It does not show up at Spa or Reims. Good catch.
Ace-Garageguy
Got enough stuff cleared off the bench so I can see the top of it, first time in a long time. Now to put away the in-progress builds I'd left to the dust and spiders, and get some shots of the beginnings of the builds for this thread. Came across the perfect set of tires for the Peking to Paris Studebaker in the process, bought last November. Tempus fugit.

I found a ten minute race video - the vent was actually cut into the roof with a metal shears half way into the race to promote some circulation in the driving compartment - was probably welded shut when team Shelby went to Europe …

Gramps46
Porsche 904 - Cunningham #37 Even though this kit was released by Monogram I still think of it as an Aurora kit, one of their best. I had forgotten how many parts it has. The only thing I see that has changed in this release are the wheels. They are larger than the originals which I can live with though I will change the tires. I have two big projects to finish so this might take a while.
