Bingo - the Cunningham Porsche 904 is an excellent suggestion, I will take it and run with it.  I can even send you up to REVS for detail photos.  All I really need is the font for the number #37.

Now the question is which body to use?

Monogram/Aurora would be closest. The car is still in an unrestored state in Miles Collier's private collection. There is also historical footage of this car on YouTube at Sebring in '64.

Great idea! Gary beat me to the Cunningham 904 by just over 16 hours, so I would like to take up the MGB # 48, one of three MG entered, it being the blue one.

A shot of #48 during the 1964 Sebring 12 Hours

A more current photo of #48 with additional mods for vintage racing added, such as tow hooks.

I’ll be in the stash later today to pull out the kit and posting it.
Cheers Misha

Noel  -  I checked the thread rules thoroughly  -  well I'm making them up as we go ...

Although Sebring was - originally  - the only North American World Championship race -

Brits ARE allowed to enter this thread !

Might I recommend the Jo Schlesser / Graham Hill  Shelby Roadster ??

Just sayin ...

The body of the HRM Daytona Coupe is thin resin - so sometimes the casting will shift after its pulled from the mold.  Coupes - the roofs - are prone to this little problem - if you’ve built a few - you’ve learned that there is no such thing as a “straight from the box” build -

The roof - now removed with a razor saw - is shaped to follow the line of the windshield casting - the tabs will locate it when glued back on with CA glue … venom correctly pointed out that this resin can - to a degree - be reshaped with hot then cold water …

Dont forget to go thru Rev’s (Rev’s / Collier Collection) on line research site - they’re all there - even some color pix ….  But let’s follow their “no posting” policy on this thread -

I had not picked out one of the important features on my Daytona Coupe - at Sebring in ‘64 -  2287 had not yet sprouted a tail spoiler-  the team would add one later in the season - so the Simeone car sports a spoiler … but I’ll remove the spoiler for my build …

PR :  Sorry you can’t enter that cobra roadster in your current thread - it was entered - i think. - in the 63 race - but not ‘64 ….  can i tempt you with one of the Daytona coupes ?

Abs, there is only one Daytona coupe listed...and it's spoken for.

I'll go on a limb here. I don't have the kit but will find one. I don't know what changes I will need to do but I'll figure it out...
