KC FitiWerks Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 I shared the mockup in another post. This is a follow up of that post. Here are a few pictures of the progress mocked up. I'll post more detailed pictures later. Laid it in the grass and added a few 24th scale parts. Stretched tires over wide wheels, front defuser, big ass subwoofer, and trying to figure out how and where to mount the fart-can. Going to paint the ceter of the wheels gold or copper. Body pearl white with some kind of graphics, gloss black hood, roof and lift gate. Thanks 4
Joe Handley Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 I need to keep an eye on this, I’ve been mildly fascinated by the real modified Prius’ for some time now! Can’t wait to see how you finish it!
Just Jim Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Very nice! I always suspected there was a cool car hiding somewhere under all that drabness. Great vision!
John B. Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Wow - that's really cool! I didn't even know that this kit existed. Coming along nicely!
ea0863 Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 This build is hilarious! I love it and cannot wait to see the colors you go with
KC FitiWerks Posted October 10, 2022 Author Posted October 10, 2022 Update... Worked on the bottom pan. Cut the little muffler off and cut a hole for the "Fart can". Still have to build a inside cover for it. Painted the center of the wheels gold, weathering is next. Interior,, I'm not sure how I'm going about it. Cut and fold the backseat down and tub, put a sub-box w/seat up, or just tub it w/ seat up?
mustang1989 Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Great ideas going into this one. Being a Prius, I've gotta admit, I was reluctant to click on this thread but I really like what I'm seeing. Watching.....
KC FitiWerks Posted October 10, 2022 Author Posted October 10, 2022 Stayed up too late last night tinkering on it. Finished the recess for the "F"can. Plate needs some sanding & primer. I can move it back ¼" to get it off the ground. Howe the tailpipe will stick out a bit. We will see. 2
KC FitiWerks Posted October 10, 2022 Author Posted October 10, 2022 (edited) BTW... Starting to like these ¹/³² scales. They're easy and fun! (Excuse the messy bench! My photo booth is occupied with one of the next projects, GUNDUM!) Edited October 10, 2022 by KC FitiWerks 2
chris chabre Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 I wasnt gonna click on this thread because well "Prius"... You have made it look killer! I see the pencil lines for what I assume are mini truck inspired graphics
KC FitiWerks Posted October 10, 2022 Author Posted October 10, 2022 Working on the decals. This is the first draft. Not feeling it yet.

All I know, Pearl white body, black roof, hood, and hatch. Can't forget, CARtoons bumper sticker! 1
KC FitiWerks Posted October 10, 2022 Author Posted October 10, 2022 I guess I'm not the only goofball out there! LMAO!!!!
Steve H Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Hi Ken, fun build for sure. I did a custom one for my daughter a while back, not nearly as aggressive as yours but still fun, and a little silly… Great work, I will be watching. 3

I would absolutely do another one similar to what you are doing. That thing is going to be wicked. Cheers, Steve
XYHARRY Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 These builds prove that anything can be built to look cool. I'll be following this one. Nice work Ken. Cheers, David. ??
KC FitiWerks Posted October 22, 2022 Author Posted October 22, 2022 (edited) Need some advice. Trying to make tubbed wheel wells and its not going good. Using the wheel wells from the the pan and flat styrene. Put the styrene on a socket, held in place with o-rings then heated one with a lighter and heat gun with the other. Not turning out good! Cool project. as for the tubs, dunk it in above hand hot but not boiling water, then into cold. it should keep its shape and not distort the plastic. you only need it in the hot water until it becomes pliable. i'd leave it on the socket like you have been doing for this.
