The tri-carb setup was the only choice in the original kit.  The dual exhaust isn't stock either, I don't know when Ford first made a pickup with duals but it was long after 1960.  I'm surprised that made it into the promos.

Round 2 just keep doing what you are doing and we will keep buying what you are making. :)

Here's my vote...!

AMT 6127 '67 Ford Galaxie XL HT.jpg

I'm a hard-core Ford (only) guy and IMO, the '68 Galaxie is a much more attractive car than the '67.

I'd sure like to see some other Ford kits as well......

60-61 Comet

64-65 Falcon (street car)

65-70 Mustang Convertible

66 Cyclone

67-68 Cougar

69-70 Mach I (original tooling)

66-67 Fairlane Convertible

68-69 Fairlane/Torino Hardtop & Convertible

68-69 Cyclone fastback

69 Boss 429

70 Cougar

70-71 Cyclone

70-71 Torino Convertible

69-72 Maverick &  71-72 Comet

AND this......

I'd be up for any and all of these! I'd love to see a 66-70 Falcon too. Not holding my breath on that one.

Well anything Ford or Mopar seems very likely with a lot of the releases seem to point that way currently.

No issue for me................

With Steve mentioning in another thread that more mid-60's GM intermediates (A-bodies) were a part of his cloning program, and already pretty far along in development, I would not be surprised to see one of those projects next. Though I am largely a Ford guy and I would love a 67 Galaxie, I would roll the dice on a Craftsman Plus 64 Malibu or another 64 Chevelle/El Camino variant arriving first. Perhaps the 66 Buick Skylark GS after that.

I'd love to see a '64 Chevelle, especially if it was a bench seat Malibu. It'd be really cool if the model manufacturers would release more mid range optioned cars and less of the top of the line ones.

Wasn't this released in a (Glidden?) Pinto version also?

'Bet Your Sweet Bibby' Ford kit:  what year?  Is it the '67?  I was hoping for a reissue of the '66 '7-Litre'.  Thanks

I believe the AMT "Sweet Bippy" kit was the first re-issue of their 1966 Ford Galaxie 7-litre hardtop kit in 1969 (T328).

It is due to be re-issued in this retro-style box this year by Round2 as kit AMT-1393.

No, the Glidden Pinto was an MPC kit. Prior to 1988, AMT and MPC were separate, and competing companies

A GLIDDEN Pinto?? I knew that MPC did a Dyno-Don Nicholson (#1-1760) and Gapp & Roush (#1762) Pro-Stock Pintos, but I've never heard about the Glidden version.

source: Scalemates.com

But it is time Round-2 do a Glidden Pro-Stock version of their MPC Pinto to go along their Vega Pro-Stocks.  ?

No Glidden Pinto kit.  MPC only did two pro stock Pintos: Dyno Don ('74) and Gapp & Roush ('75).

I'm pretty sure I commented on this earlier in this thread, but if not, my take is that the two MPC Pinto pro-stocks were by a fair margin the most overall accurate Pro-Stock replicas of MPC's entire 1970's Pro-Stock lineup.  I have advocated for a reissue of one or both of these kits for well over 10 years now with my friends at Round 2.   For a number of reasons, though, I don't expect to see this happen in the near to mid future, if at all.  Hope I'm wrong on this, though!

Also, a very big caution on scalemates.com.  I have found that while much of their kit history info is largely or completely correct, other info can be completely off the mark.  As such, I always recommend double-checking any kit info there with other trusted sources..

I'd suspect that neither of the pro stock Pinto kits can be reissued without a lot of work, as they used the stock annual kit body which was later updated to the 1977-78 spec front end. There were a few 1:1 '77 Pinto pro stockers (Gapp & Roush, for one) but most of the Ford guys were running Mustang II bodies by then.

As an aside, the two MPC kits did differ a bit.  The '74 Don Nicholson kit body had a rear hatch while the '75 G&R version had a trunk lid.  The G&R kit had Motor Wheel Fly front wheels which were never used in any other MPC kit, and to my knowledge nobody else ever included them in any kit.

Casey offers these in resin.
