Except we only have the 2 mods along with Dave and Gregg. Nobody is on and a couple of the forum sections have been re-buried in more spam.

I think they are all PST or earlier (Gregg), so still early in the AM for them...

Might help if the moderation requirement is reinstated for new members.

Also is there a way to restrict the pm for new members as we seem to be the WTB scam popping up again.

At least temporarily to save the mods from having to clean this mess up.

Yeah, we're going to have to turn the moderation back on.

I would suggest to make it less painful that oncea few post have been made to turn off the new moderation. That way the bots can't flood the board with spam. Since the typical pattern is the best bots sign up and then blast away.

Not sure if something similar could be done to eliminate the WTB  SCAM.

I put that person on ignore and they all disappeared.

Unfortunately that is only a cosmetic fix. The problem is the bots can post once for every minute. Several bots could flood the board in a short time. Something needs to be implemented enter to prevent that.
