Old Albion Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Well I finally got this build finished. It was completed towards the end of December 2013, but I have been waiting for the weather to improve so I could get some photographs. Definitely one of my favourite builds. The engine is by Howard at KFS www.kitformservices.com built as a Clatterpillar 1693TA. The extended hood is by Eric at P & P www.ppvintagekits.com Hope you enjoy and Thanks for looking. For more photo's check my Fotki site the link is at the bottom. Edited March 11, 2014 by Old Albion
Old Buckaroo Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Wow - that is a beauty. Your engine detail work is amazing. Nice color combination also. I have a 359 Cali Hauler in progress and I was also thinking of using a color similar to your top color also. If I was to wait for a nice day to take pics outside that would be sometime in June here Edited March 11, 2014 by Old Buckaroo
Jim B Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Great looking Peterbilt. I like it with the long hood & the 1693. It's different.
flat-top Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Awesome job, long hood and motor makes a big difference. great looking Peterbilt.
purepmd Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Another fantastic build! The whole DC fleet is outstanding. Well done.
Old Albion Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 I'm glad you all enjoyed the photo's and Thanks for the comments. I was almost finished this and just putting the final touches to I,t when I had a thought. This would look great as a logging truck!! But I did not want to destroy what I had created. So maybe another build will be a logging truck in the same livery. Thanks Again.
Jim B Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 It would look good as a logging truck. Maybe Georgia-Pacific. I think they used these colors.
Chuck Most Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Great work on this one, Dave! You never disappoint. I do like the idea of doing a second one as a logger...
kilrathy10 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 You've done a wonderful job on this one.....And that engine looks fantastic....Great work on the paint....It's hard for me to get this kit to look good....Kind of why I traded them all off....So, you've definitely got my admiration.....
Superpeterbilt Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Awesome build! I love the color scheme. Great job
