  1. Got the AMT 66 Nova a while back. The fitment and instructions were awful, so I I really didn't think I'd like it at all. So I combined the decals from the Revell '69 Nova, and actually like the results. What do you think?
  2. Absolutely incredible. Great job on a very realistic looking model!
  3. That happens to be my 1:1 dream car! And you really nailed it. I guess since I can't afford a 1:1 I could go for the model! Great job
  4. Beautiful job on this Ford! Inspires me to want to build one!
  5. Thanks for sending the link to the build thread. I am just about finished with the Pro Street version. I added the details from Revell's "Super Nova" and those really made it pop. I'm sure you noticed in the instructions that there were many parts unclear of exact location. I had to install, remove, adjust, and reinstall many of them. I'll try to get some pictures posted this weekend when I am through. -John
  6. Which kit is the Nova? I've been working on the '66 Pro Street and have been fighting it all the way. I hope you had better luck with yours.
  7. Could you send me that scan of the instructions of the LA Chopper as well please? I'm trying to rebuild my 50 year old kit. Thanks! John
  8. How are you doing on this kit? I pulled mine out - the one I got in '71 - out of storage to fix. The chrome is now awful and it looks like it was built by a kid. It was! Me, back in Jr. High School. Can you tell me where the brake light mounts? Or send a pix? Thanks
  9. I think you did a GREAT job!
  10. Glad you adjusted the height of the deck. I've always felt that those wedges were a bit high. I like what you are doing! -John
  11. I think we all got spoiled with Modelhaus. I never got a bad one with them
  12. Ha! Lots of flash. Pieces wouldn't fit. I'm going to really have to hack at it to make it work. I'm just not in the mood anymore.
  13. One of my favorite subjects. Beautiful job!
  14. I bought his '73 Caprice, and I've got to say I was very disappointed. Anyone know how to get in touch with him?
  15. I've still got a Black Widow that I built as a kid. I had thought of getting the reissue just for the fun of it.
  16. How in the world did you catch that??????
  17. Does anyone make a replacement hood for Monogram's '39 Chevy hot rod? I'm trying to make mine look more stock. Thanks John
  18. It sounds like it's the MPC kit. Thanks to all! Gee, I wonder why I can't remember all of that? I was 11!!!
  19. Thanks. It's the right body style, but I wonder if it's molded in Petty blue? I obviously did not bother to use the red sides. Were those decals, I wonder?
  20. The other day I was going through my "built before becoming a teenager" stash and ran across a Richard Petty Charger, molded in Petty blue and black. It looks like I didn't bother to paint it, just slapped it together and put the decals on. I thought it was a Johan, but now I'm thinking MPC. Anyone have a recollection of this kit? And who made it? Thanks John
  21. Thank you SO MUCH!!! John
  22. Does anyone have a pdf of the instructions for the old "Red Alert" Chevelle? I want to see how many parts I'm missing on my original one before I tear it down for a rebuild. Thanks! John
  23. I love old wagons, but the Continental add on is not the best. I'd vote for a Ranchero!
