  1. Those are beautiful!! You did a great job.
  2. Your models look good. Shortly after this, NASCAR began setting the aerodynamics on the cars not for parity, but based on track performance. The rules changed almost weekly and the whining was terrible. Not a high point in NASCAR history.
  3. Nicely Done!

    2009 Challenger

Thanks for the comments everyone. The wrestling match I had with the final assembly was that the engine bay detail that Revell attached to the interior was a bit warped and I didn’t recognize it. The Model Master paint also has a bit of a tendency to chip easily. So I put the interior in and then tried to fit the chassis and I started to have to force the front together. In doing so, I chipped the paint and I didn’t think I could do too much bending on the engine bay and additional test fitting. After I got the front of the chassis to fit like it was supposed to, the back bumper and panel had to be glued to the body. Since the front did not fit well, the back did not either. This required more muscle so to speak. After this the most frustrating thing was one of the front tires was about 1/16” outside of the fender. This required additional messaging. I think that Revell’s latest kits are right up there with Tamiya as far as fit and finish, but this one proved to be quite the challenge when putting the final pieces together.
  5. Very nice!
  6. I just finished this one and gave it a retro paint job. The color is Panther Pink, which as many of you probably know was a Chrysler muscle car color from the 1970's. The car went together real well until the final assembly and then it became a wrestling match, I like this one though and thank everyone for looking.
  7. Very nice body work. I would have never thought a Pontiac can be converted in this manner. I agree with the others, I will be following this one.
  8. Very well done!

    70 CHEVELLE

This car and the Cutlass are my favorites from this time period. You did a very good job!
  10. Very nice. I have the Calsonic on my shelf to build one of these days. Where do you buy the Hobby Design decals?
  11. Wow, that is bright. Had to grab my sunglasses! Nice looking model.
  12. With the scratches not being deep, I suggest starting with 2400 or 3600 grit and working up from there. I would try to work in the area with the scratches. If your sanding moves beyond, just move up to the next higher grit and expand the sanding area. I got a glob of glue on the “glass” and used this method. I finish with Meguires scratch out. It looked fine afterwards. I had to put the Meguires on a few times.

    70 IMPALA

That was one of my favorite model years for that car. Good job.
  14. Very nice. The trim work looks great.

    Dodge Challenger

Very nice. You did a great job photographing the color change. This has been a source of frustration for me.
  16. Thanks for the kind words everybody. I bought the paint at Advance Auto Parts. Rustoleum also makes a green / gold color shift as well. I was really surprised at how smooth and glossy the paint went down. I did not use a clear coat on the paint. The green and gold looks like this:
  17. Very nice!
  18. This is my first post of a completed model. I finished it a couple of weeks ago. It's Revell's kit finished in Rustoleum Color Shift paint. Thanks for looking.
