  1. Terrific looking build! One thing that troubled me about this kit was how the taillights looked after completion. I really like the way you handled those taillights on your build and I will be doing my best to duplicate the look you achieved with your taillights.
  2. I've been waiting to see some builds of this new Revell kit to determine if I should throw a question out there about it... to my eyes, I think the clear headlight lenses were molded a tad too big in circumference. Anyone have any thoughts regarding what my eyes are seeing? 1/1 reference pics below with a pic of Chuck Satterwhite's excellent build from the Model Cars tab shown at bottom:
  3. As others have said, this is a fantastic looking build! I've been waiting to see some builds of this new Revell kit to determine if I should throw a question out there about it... to my eyes, I think the clear headlight lenses were molded a tad too big in circumference. 4. Should we expect all those Green panels to be replicated on the decal sheet?
  5. A stunning build Rattlecan! These cars were rolling works-of-art to my eyes!
  6. Do you think the firewall to shock tower braces might get in the way?
  7. Can't wait for this one to arrive!
  8. Stunning work! Looking forward to seeing this build cross the finish line! You don't happen to have any pics of your plumbed engine before it was installed into the chassis, do you? (I'm trying to better educate myself on diesel engine fluid lines and their locations and purpose).
  9. Very nice build with incredible paint finishes; please share how you achieved that look to the paint on the trunk lid and over most all of the body... (I don't need to know about that Blue front fender because that's the one painted area I think I know how you got the finish)!
  10. What method did you use to make your cut/joint-lines in that pieced-together body disappear like they have?
  11. I have to agree with you Mr. Mopar. The time it has taken Revell to get this kit available for purchase has been too long for me, my interest has faded away. My recent understanding is there will be several future variations of this kit released; I'll be waiting to see what those might be and hopefully my interest in one of those kits will be enough to rekindle my interest enough to open my wallet.
  12. I'm a bit curious about the best method to make the clear taillight lenses the color Red. Originally thought a wash of Red paint across the backside (that'll be inside the body), might do it, but I'm not so sure. I'm surprised they didn't get molded in Red/clear instead of clear/clear. I'm also wondering, (but doubtful), that a set of Red/clear taillights from a different kit might "drop-fit" into this new Revell kit.
  13. Lovely build! Can I ask what scale it is?
  14. Great looking build! Love these obscure, vintage Nascar subjects and you nailed this one!
  15. Is there any word out there regarding when this kit will be available to purchase?
  16. Sure would like to see a picture or two of that "weed burner" exhaust system!
  17. Really like this build! I'm curious about the exhaust system on this build; does it route/dump underneath?
  18. This is a fantastic looking build! Do you remember what tires you used for this build?
  19. I'm curious; does the inner-bed floor piece have molded detail on both top and bottom? I've heard talk of swapping-in a more detailed chassis and suspension from the AMT 1950's-era Ford pickup kits but am wondering if that '60s bed floor piece might be completely smooth on its underside?
  20. This 67 Corvette is another example of Revell's new box art "knocking-it-outta-da-ballpark!"
  21. Thanks for the input, Mark. It leads me to the following questions; would the '69 Wildcat kit's engine and chassis parts be appropriate and drop-fit into the '70 body?
  22. Not only are these some awesome upcoming kit releases, but I'd add that Revell is hitting-it-outta-the-park with some of their new box art!
  23. Curious as I recently read some model car related Facebook posts that builders were getting some Clearance priced kits for $5.00 each at Walmart. My local store has a big "Clearance" sign on top of the available kits but they're clearance priced at $17.00 each. Should I hold-out hope that the price will eventually drop even lower?
  24. Great build! I'm stealing your awesome scrapbook tape interior trick!
