  1. We are not hoarders, we are just very enthusiastic collectors! LOL!
  2. Looks like the Ford version of the F-Bomb! Nice!!
  3. I would love to see the rest of his kit re-issued again! To me they where some of the coolest kits out there and you did not have to do any kit bashing to make some really far out cars!! And yes, Tom, it is very surreal to meet your childhood heroes. And having a drink with them is far out!
  4. After being a Tech Official at the local Drag Strip, I did bounce quite a few cars. From Honda Rocket Racers to Rat Rods. Some of these guys will listen and take the advice you give them on what they need to do to be safe. Some, they have this BS bravado about run what you brung! So it is not just about the cars, but also the owners or builders!!! Young guys trying to act like cranky old men, now that is funny! It was like a badge of honor to have a totally unsafe car. Living the desperate life of a pulp magazine! I called them the cartoon kids! I can understand being passionate about something, but there is also common sense. Most of them eventually got it and some threw a fit and huffed off mad. Back to the pits to make a ruckus and drink PBR! And then they would get mad about no Alcohol in the pits!! I don't care what they call these cars anymore, I am just trying to give a bit of background on how it was and where it is now. They are becoming the PT Cruisers of the show car set. There are so many and they begin to loose the uniqueness about them. And some, I will admit, are cool and deserve to be seen, but some, they just do it to do it and make noise! Love them or hate them, they are among us and that's the way it is!
  5. Most Altereds ran the 18" version of the American Racing Spindle Mount Spokes while the door slammer variety and funnies ran the 15" This I would call a "Drag" type and not really a "Gasser" type wheel.
  6. This one looks awesome! There are two of them in the box!! You can get the same kit, basically, from Revell as they reboxed it in their own boxes. Biggest issue with this kit is the chassis. It has the mold reliefs on the wrong side of the tubing and they show when assembled. With some plastic rod and putty, that can be fixed easily.
  7. Scored at our monthly model car club meet.
  8. Tom West told me that one of the reasons the Tony Nancy double kit was not issued sooner was because they cut the chrome tooling in half when they did the Revellion Funny Car Kit. He found the other half of the tooling on a dusty bench at Revell and they restored it back so it could be re-issued. Thanks, Tom!!
  9. Switchers T-Bucket, AMT Part Pack Frame and wheels and misc. parts from the stash.
  10. I have had good experiences trading so far. Sometime I trade for something I really don't need just to help out he person that really wanted what I had. I know it is going to cost to ship and if it seems crazy, I will politely decline the trade. I am blessed to have a nice collection of kits, but, I am not a hobby shop and don't always have what someone maybe looking for, so yes, it helps when you post what you are looking for instead of having us guess what you want.
  11. I'll just leave this right here. Enjoy http://autoculture.org/?page_id=1015
  12. These T/A edition are purely Barris atrocities. He may have started with Macho Trans Ams, but in the end this is all him.
  13. Back in '85 I was building a Robotech Valkyrie and I need white paint. I went to the garage and found a can of it. It was Hi Temp Header Paint! I melted most of the kit to a pulp! Since then, I only use model approved paints!!
  14. I have a later issue of that kit and this is what I want to do with it. As the car from "The Jerk"
  15. My build % has to be around .25%, maybe! I am trying to finish a 1:1 project before I can really get back to model building. Am I sitll getting kits? Oh yes!
  16. Is the nose all there inside the wax?
  17. Someone had one on their table at the kit show this past weekend. I picked it up and asked how much and he quickly grabbed it back and said it was not for sale, yet. I came back later and it was gone. Thanks for nothing!
  18. Monogram had a series of Snap Together Funny Cars in 1/32 Scale. They where done by Tom Daniels and all had fictional names on them. It was not until the 80's that they started to make them with actual real car style markings.
  19. Very cool! I just picked up two Monza kits!
  20. This is what Gray Baskerville called "Rats" Not this
  21. Very nice!! That body looks great as a funny!
  22. This is so cool! Came out really nice and this has to be on my top ten model box art builds of all time! This kit and box take me way back!!
  23. The Brat is actually a built up that needs some restoring, but, it was FREE! So was the Pinto box, I say box because there is a Vega inside. Wish the Pinto was in there. But, it was also free! The rest I paid for. The Monza kits are the same, with the exception of the Pro Stock hood on the yellow one.
  24. Scored a few things today at the Keller Kit Show in Buena Parkk, CA
