  1. How about when Jerry Eckman's "oil tank" took off in the pits! And lets not for forget the unstoppable Dodge Boys in the mids 90's! Good times! If you don't get caught!
  2. Hey, this hobby is about enjoying yourself. And that is about pleasing YOU! Good job and keep at it! As and aside, I sometimes just use a silver Sharpie pen instead of foil. Its easy and quick!
  3. Scored Camaro off eBay and the patch at the Hot Rod Reunion. Could not help it on the Simon & Simon car since the show was based in San Diego!!
  4. And just for the record, Nitrous is against the rules in Pro Stock. Nice build
  5. The list changed from time to time. Some of the names I have seen are John Wiebe, Steve Carbone, Jim Nicoll, Kalitta, Muldowney, Shumacher, Prudhome, McEwen and Marvin Shwartz to name a few. I should build me a Zoo Keeper car soon.
  6. Very nice build of a classic!
  7. I would love to see the Construction Caricature kits make a comeback and they can shelve the Cop Out molds for a while!
  8. Well, you can do a Volare front end swap, a big rear window conversion and some serious body work! That should make it better!
  9. He originally wanted to play Enzo Ferarri in a bio pic about the Commendatore! He does have the nose for that one!
  10. That would be a great start for making a Funny Car body!
  11. Look out Banksy! That is awesome! NIce job!!
  12. Just going to leave this here! Enjoy! http://iwatchstuff.com/2013/10/tom-cruise-returning-to-cars-instead-of.php
  13. I sometimes buy old boxes and place new'er releases, with boring boxes, in them to make them complete again! Otherwise they get recycled.
  14. I think this needs to be moved to General section.
  15. Revell Chassis, and judging by how straight it appears, it is the newer one piece version. As for the slick, they started using those with the Revell Blue Max Mustang release. Replaced those wonderful, , two piece slicks! Revell needs to tool up some new bodies if they want to keep re-releasing those kits!
  16. Well, some of them are not exactly abandoned, lost maybe, but not abandoned. The Daytona Coupe had a crazy story, but it was in a storage unit for years. http://www.nvsaac.com/gallery/missing_daytona_coupe.htm And some of those F-1 cars look like promo units that where not used for racing at all.
  17. Welcome Back!
  18. Nice build of a very tempermental kit. This kit clearly shows what can happen when not everyone is paying attention to what he other guy is doing. Tom West did the technical parts of these kit and supplied Accurate Miniatures with the building instructions and other details. The "Engineers" did not follow his instructions as they should have and this is what happened.
  19. Seeing how the tooling is good from the last issues as a Comp Coupe and the Ramchargers kit, they could just open the gate on the tooling for the swoopy body and issue it as a generic dragster or just leave the body in the kit as a surprise! . Chuck is making the decals and almost everything else has to be changed out to make it correct.
  20. Thanks guys, it is almost done! I applied some vintage style decals to the side flanks of the engine. I know the movie car had them along the back of the body work, but, I rarely have ever seen any swoopy body with decals back there. Just a few more details and it will be done. I promise! LOL!
  21. Nader may not like it, but I love it! Nice job!!
  22. Lets see, I scored these two kit, a bunch of Hot Wheels, got Jungle Pam's Autograph and WE WON THE CALIFORNIA HOT ROD REUNION!!! We won 7.0 Pro Class!
