This car is not accurate but it does make a nice model. It's actually a Porsche 962 not what RoG has on the box(956). paint is Tamiya TS-12 Orange. Wheels are Alclad chrome and Tamiya TS-21 Gold. WIP is here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86590&hl=%2Borange+%2Bmeister

That is creative but I think the "F" duct was one of the most creative ducting of air ever. If you do not know what it is read here http://www.racecar-engineering.com/technology-explained/f-ducts-how-do-they-work-f1-2010-formula-one-technology/ -
Are rally drivers the best in the world?

Loeb's run on Pikes Peak shows how good he really is. check it out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtDWypYOmFM -
This one is ready for decals. Orange paint is Tamiya TS-12. Wheels are TS-21 Gold and Alclad Chrome overcoated with Alclad Aqua Gloss. This kit is not very accurate. It's Hasegawa's 962 but it is supposed represent a 956.It does make a nice looking model though inaccurate.

Removing lint from a Future clear coat
935k3 replied to Vetteman15's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
As Bill knows I have been a long time user of Future and I have found every wax I have tried tends to r3emove the Future as it is rubbed out except ZYMOL brand. Zymol enhances and deepens the gloss. Area s of Future can be reworked by carefully wiping them with a 50/50 mixture of ammonia and Future, this reflows the area and can be repeated till the debris is removed. It will level out. I use disposable cosmetic rounds(see below) to carefully wipe Future, I get great results without spraying. You can get the pads in a 100 pack at the dollar store. -

YES! Without a doubt. Nobody does what they do. They drive in the real word in real world conditions. -

You will not regret that purchase. If your needle is a little tight like mine was when new try polishing the needle. The big cup is really nice.

Air bubbles in Alumilite resin
935k3 replied to Austin T's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The pressure pot is probably the best solution. The pros that do it for a living use them. You could try vibrating by setting the poured mold on on of those vibrating football games that does work we have used this at work for casting cross sectioning samples. My boss got one at yard sale. You can still get them new. Another method I saw on youtube was to stand up and pour into the mold sitting on the floor. Th length drives the air out before it hits the mold, you would need to aim carefully for this method. -
Try some NOVUS #1 to get rid of the small scratches. Most hobby shops have it.

Need some tips on using decals
935k3 replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Put Future under the decal. After its pressed down wipe of excess with ammonia or a damp q-tip. I know ammonia can strip chrome but it wont if wiped up quickly, you have to soak it awhile to strip it. The Future also helps glue the decal down. I have had to do this allot with rally car seats that are flat black but get decals like driver name etc. on the seat. -

I just watched the last six minutes and finish at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNyxBm6dvZ4. Wow, Ferrari beats Mercedes by .4 seconds after 12 hours of racing. great stuff on a great track.

Yes you heard right. This is in Australia and has happened before with V8 Touring cars. I wish I could have stayed up for the finish. It should be on youtube by now.

Watch the Bathurst 12 hours Australia Sports car race Here http://www.bathurst12hour.com.au/live/. I actually saw a Cobra Daytona replicar in the race.

Great job. I wish they would re-issue this one. The wheels were really nice.

Thanks all. The seatbelts are cloth tape from a German company called TESA I bought years ago. I have trouble finding the exact tape on the internet. The seatbelt hardware is from Tamiya's Photo-Etch sheet for this kit.
