WOW! that looks great! I can't wait to see more progress! I could come by and help with the drywall, if it would help to get you back to building! lol. but you'd have to pay for the air fare.

The rest of the car looks like a Ferrari rip off, why not the tail lights? please don't take that as a bash on your modelling. It's a remark about GM's inability to come up with something original. Not that it looks bad, it just looks like a Ferarri 599.

i've got a case.....

I know at Competition RC in Oklahoma City, James will order model kits from his suppliers for his regular customers at very minimally mark-up since he doesn't sell static models at all. Most of the time a Tamiya kit at normal price of $40 will be about $25 or so. I'd like to see what's IN the box. I was just at Hobby Town and Hobby Lobby in Norman, OK and neither store had it. -
Browsing the truck porn thread on the ratsun forum yesterday and saw this http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k411/Tammy0047/maxresdefault 2.jpg

Very nice! I love how aweful AMT kits can be, it lends to building some great customs! The green paint is perfect for this custom! more, please!

that rear drive shaft is going to vibrate a little with the carrier bearing dangling like it is! lol I have the HILUX kit too, it's awesome. I don't know why I haven't built it yet.

I'd say buy it and pay the shipping. Where else are you going to FIND this product anywhere other than the manufacturer, or in bulk form? -
how to make black interiors nice
rsxse240 replied to youpey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Different shades of black for various parts like a flat black to represent cloth on seats semi gloss on leather/vynil (a little glossier for vynil) gloss on hard plastic pieces, and don't forget to detail paint and use foil for shiney metal bitsbits. Look for reference pics on Google or simply follow kit instructions if you aren't up to the task of extensive paint detailing. -
well, I guess I'll be going with another type of wheel for this one. I'd really like to find some BBS RG in 15", but that's never gonna happen. I ended up finding a set of wheels from a late 80s Dodge Daytona and tires from an old AMT Blueprinter Datsun 240Z.

Hello, all! I am in need of assistance finding some tires for some Fujimi "BBS 17inch SILVER RIM" wheels. You see the tires that come in the wheel set are too tall for my VW rabbit kit and I would like some much lower profile tires for the rims. here's a link to HLJ to show the box: http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ19153/Aut Now as you can see, the rims look great on the car, but the tires are way too big: and just in case you all wanted to see the whole body painted brown any help sourcing a set of tires would be greatly appreciated. I have a set of Pegasus 17" tires, but they're closer to 19" compared to fujimi or maybe the difference in scale. Anyway, they're too big.

I guess it could be this one too? http://www.modelroundup.com/product-p/amt-t-322.htm

Uncommonly RARE? Fox Mustang wheels
rsxse240 replied to MsDano85gt's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Fairmont, LTD II and, t-birds and cougars had them too, iirc. -
It very well may have been, and that would explain why I haven't seen any info on the AMT kit. lol Maybe I just saw "Ranger" and instantly got my hopes up. I've been wanting to get a few more of them so I can finish a couple projects I have had going for about 13 years now. hahaha
-
I was at Hobby Lobby the other day and in the empty slots with fresh stock decals I noticed one that said AMT Ranger! This is good news, if in fact it's going to be the AMT 95-up Ranger kit. My question is...Is AMT reissuing the Ford Ranger? I have seen absolutely zero info on it. Round 2 doesn't have it in their flier in the "Crew Chief" kit I bought. I understand google can help me here, but I want to have a conversation about it! haha

If you were to paint it red and use the wheels from the Aoshima Veilside s15 (daggers) and source the proper decals for the sides, you could effortlessly build Dom' Turretto's FD from The Fast and the Furious (the first one).

I am quite eager to see this with all the chrome and radical engine finally put together.

I just hate that I don't have access to a band saw and a router. If I did, I'd have all SORTS of organizing shelves, stands and what not. These are really nice and prices look good too. I'll be waiting to see you guy's reviews before I decide if it's for me, or if I should just build a wood shop so I can build a model building shop. LOL!

wow, now I feel really smart. lol words tell things? when did that start happening? hahaha I'm a picture looker. lol I still think it looks good!

RIGHT ON, MAN! A while back, there was a thread asking if there was a 1:1 car built with a model as its inspiration (or something like that). If I had an IH scout, I would be in the garage cutting frame at this very moment because of this build!

I love the way this is going. The valve covers seem to be awkwardly positioned, I think something might be installed improperly. Is it possible the cylinder heads are on backwards? Like the intake side was inadvertently placed where the exhaust should go. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see how this turns out. The colors look great and your photography is really well done.

I couldn't really picture the Scout as a pro touring or even just a bagged truck until I saw that pic with the wheels and tires tucked under the rear. This thing is going to be awesome!
