  1. Marshall, nice job overall. I think she'll like it. She just might take the model to the body shop and tell them "Do this to my 1:1 scale ride." I agree with the observation about being a tough/inaccurate kit to build. I did two of them. The first one was quickly converted to an expediter by the little plastic o/o who quickly realized he couldn't make any $$$ because he couldn't hook a trailer to it (and still be able to make turns). The second was built as a straight truck and was sold to the fire deparment where it was converted to a heavy wrecker/rescue and is currently assigned to the FD Special Operations unit. brinx
  2. Riverart, Fine looking build, I especially like your rear window (clear plastic knife....clever). I also like how you attached the air lines to the pogo and the way they hang, they look natural (gotta try to get mine to look that way). I hope you'll have a go at the K100 in the background. brinx (@Derick... very nicely stated)
  3. I built this one close to 20 years ago (can't believe I said that out loud). My idea if J.B. had used Petes (actually, at the time, it was the only coe I had and was a project for a friend). Brinx
  4. Nice looking rig Larry. I think your Double Eagle conversion and colors are very nice. Your fender unit is really what catches my eye. I've never been a big fan of them, until now. I like the way incorporated it into the project, it gives the rig a nice sleek look. I think I'm going to give something like that a try. brinx
  5. Man JT, that's a big-lotta plastic you got there and you sure do make it look GREAT! Where do you keep that rig, out in the driveway? Looks like all you need is a set of 1/ 16th keys and you're ready to motor on down to the track. brinx
  6. Larry, nice looking mod-box. Looks like good use of extra van parts ( cut to make another van with extended wheelbase maybe?). Looking forward to updates on this one. brinx
  7. Nice looking outfit JT! Colors are nice together and I love the way you incorporated all of the original kit's components (i.e. sleeper, stacks) into your design. brinx
  8. Sending you good thoughts and positive waves.
  9. Very nice, the colors really look good together.
  10. Sean, Nice looking conversion, I just might have a go at something like that myself (always loved fleet trucks) These snaps are fantastic, nice detail, and yet not too expensive that you don't want to chop em up and experiment. (c'mon R/M...give us more...we'll buy em!!) brinx
  11. Chris, I remember that about the original (late70's-early 80's) issue as well. Of course, back then...never had the talent to tweek/fit/shape those parts, so most (lol-ALL, actually) were "illegal". I agree with your observation about the K being a faily easy COE to build, as was the Pacemaker. I built maybe three 352's in my "career", but those just seemed to fall together quite nicely. I do like your paint work on this one..looking forward to seeing more of your's and Big Bad's as well.
  12. Mikey, Very nice paint, and your work on the grille is spot-on! (I've been using a black Sharpie on mine...but not as nice as your grille came out) I'm with JT on the decals...no need, the "new owner" can worry about that (love the for sale sign). brinx
  13. JT, Great looking fleet!! I'm going to have to built another O/O pete, and see if he can sign on with your fanchise. brinx
  14. I will probably grab up a half dozen of these for sure! The possibilities are endless: Emergency services vehicle (I once worked on an ambulance that was based on a caravan), delivery, typical grocery getter and don't forget the conversions (custom mini-camper, pick-up, even a new NASCAR racing division). Great job Lindberg! brinx
  15. After watching season 1 of "Movin' on" on www.hulu.com (thanks to one of you on this board for mentioning the show was on there!). I was inspired to build something as an homage to Sundance. I hope to be getting one of the KW's soon, and will try for the real Sundance next. Be safe everyone, brinx
  16. Casey, I agree with Cappy... I think your decision to leave the ol' DR as she sits was 100%. Perhaps You could put her on dad's flatbed and have her on her way to Carlisle for the Aug show! brinx
  17. Nice looking DR Jeff. I think the color combo works quite nicely and the two-tone treatment is the perfect amount of flair. The large (nice conversion btw) sleeper and custom, long-range fuel tanks tell us this is an O/O that typically plans to be out on those 4-5 day runs. brinx
  18. Paint looks great...I especially like the white top on the cab.
  19. The following is the "edited" version of the CB conversation requested I think folks can supply the un-edited word from their own imagination Pig Pen: "This is the handsome love machine here, ridin' the fanciest Mack Machine the slab ever eyeballed." Cotton mouth: "well, that's all well and good, but from what I hear, bulldogs is bark*" Pig pen ( in disbelief what he just heard) "WHAT?!?" scene cut to Rubber duck having a hearty belly laugh over that. Pig pen (heard over radio in Lyle's car as he's setting up the radar equipment) "Is he talking to me about that bark-bark*stuff? Hey...I'm gonna grab that alligator head of yours... This here big Mack can take on any GMC on the road and be bitin' the a$$ of that raggety trailer" Rubber Duck: "Well you aint about to ge me behind Pig Pen" and yes, sadly, this was from memory...guess maybe I've seen it more than a few times...lol) brinx
  20. I'd like to think if Will and (the late) Sonny were still Movin' on...they might have enjoyed this rig as the next "Sundance"
  21. I've been wanting to do a bed bugger...thanks for the inspiration....your's looks GREAT!
  22. Looks real enough to me...nice work!!!
