  1. Tim...thanks for clearing up some of these questions for me since my knowledge is very limited.
  2. Ron. January 5 1970 Plymouth introduced eight more colors to the rear elastomeric bumpers on 1970 'Cuda's. Check out the link below. http://www.cuda-chal...ic=16748.5;wap2
  3. Okay...another update. Since I will be going with the elastomeric bumpers front and back I have decided to cut off the license plate on the front bumper for a cleaner look.
  4. David..I have found information that body coloured elastomeric back bumpers were available in all nine colours effective Jan 5 1970 which includes Lime Light. Check out the link below. http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=16748.5;wap2
  5. Thanks Joseph. I used Tamiya orange brush paint with some Tamiya red added to it to match hemi orange as close as I could get it.
  6. I have decided to go with the colour-keyed elastomeric bumpers for the clean aggressive look rather than the chrome bumpers. I need to wait for some decent weather before I can get them painted Lime Light.
  7. I can see what you mean David. The crease immediately above the wheel well on the left side rear deviates away from a straight line. I didn't even notice this until you mentioned it.
  8. Thanks guys! The kit does not include a bracket for the alternator. Doesn't look right sitting up in the air with nothing holding it there except a fan belt!
  9. Thanks Ray. Easier doing modeling when you don't have a pounding headache!
  10. Good luck with it David. Are you going to post your progress here on the boards?
  11. Got the 426 Hemi finished tonight. I had to make a bracket for the alternator.
  12. Thanks Chris. David.....I will be using the chrome bumpers.
  13. Thanks everyone for the great comment thus so far! . I am enjoying this build since I have always liked the 1970 Barracuda's. Carl I'm glad to be back building. Had to stop back in July because of debilitating headaches that plagued me for over three months. I had three builds on the go that still need to be finished when the headaches hit. Hopefully I will get them done over the winter.
  14. Thanks. I used Testors silver in the spray can and a generous coat of Testors wet look clear.
  15. Thanks for that info Al. I was kind of wondering myself why it was offset. Well I got a good start on the 426 Hemi. More to do though including wiring.
  16. Tail lights are molded all together with the chrome bezel and have to be painted red.
  17. Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward myself seeing what she looks like all finished.
  18. Everything is molded in white. I painted the grille and shaker hood.
  19. I picked up this new Revell release a few days ago and it looks to be a great kit. I think Revell got the lines and dimensions right this time. I'm no Mopar expert but it looks right to me. I decided to paint it in "Lime Light" (Plymouth) code J5 using Model Master "Sublime Green" (Dodge) code J5. Interior will be black to give it the aggressive look. Stay tuned for more.
  20. Outstanding looking for sure!
  21. Very nice indeed!
  22. Great looking Road Roadrunner Carl!
  23. Looks great Duane. I would like to build one myself. I have a Kodak Easy Share camera as well and it does have the macro setting. I leave my camera set on auto and on the top of the camera there is a button that will change the setting to macro. Check the top of the camera for this to see if your camera has it. Also, I never use the flash even when I shoot pics indoors for this will overexpose the pic.
  24. Great looking build Duane! Glad I could help out with the posting.
