  1. I removed the previous pics and added better ones. I think there was too much glare on the initial pics on here. Check the new ones out and thanks for looking.
  2. Thanks Scott.
  3. Thanks Ron and Dave I got the stock wheels all painted up and installed into the Firestone Supreme red walls. I cut the molded-in distributor off because I will be using this aftermarket pre-wired distributor.
  4. Thanks guys for all of the great comments on this build. Curtis I used Testors silver paint in the bottle for the tailight bezels.
  5. Thanks guys for all of your input. Well I got the primer and paint on this afternoon. Primer
  6. Three more pics.
  7. I used this kit to kick start me back into building since I had not built anything since January. I thought a nice curbside kit like this one would do the trick. Now that the Camaro is finished I can get to work on my original AMT 1969 Mustang which I found on ebay. Looking forward to that one.
  8. This kit includes two hoods, the shaker hood and the smooth stock hood. I decided to build it with the smooth stock hood because the air cleaner that would be used for the shaker hood is not included with the kit. Instead they have included the closed air cleaner.
  9. Yes this kit was expensive but I wanted one of these accurate '69 Stangs. I used to have two of these back in 69 when I was a kid and I think they were around two bucks a piece back then!
  10. Thanks Carl. The last build I did was in January when I built the '57 Chevy 150. I'm also working on a 2013 Camaro ZL1 as well.
  11. If you look at the instruction sheet you can see that the air cleaner is not the open top air cleaner that seats against the opening intake on the hood. The one included in the kit is a closed air cleaner.
  12. I picked up this original AMT 1969 Mustang on ebay for a handsome price. The kit was still in the original shrink wrap and looked pretty good for being in the box for 44 years......just like a time capsule. I wanted this kit for my Mustang collection because it was the only model of this car that was kitted accurately to my knowledge plus it is my favourite Mustang. For a change this model will be built without the Mach 1 version. Too many models of this car have all been built as Mach 1's. I think this will be a refreshing change...besides the engine included in the kit is not a Mach 1 engine anyway. At this point I will be painting the build in factory colour "Wimbledon White". They have also included the old Firestone tires with red walls on one side and white walls on the other side.....I will be using the red wall side. Stay tuned for more to come from this vintage build.
  13. Thanks Emmanuel and Dominik. Dominik......better get a 150 for your collection. It is a great kit to build with no issues.
  14. Thanks Zelkam, Derrick and Charlie. I would love to see Revell do a base model Plymouth.
  15. Great looking and very unique '58 Ford Richard!
  16. Thanks Ray! Both were fun builds.
  17. Thanks Jay and Kevin. Kevin it's true that Ford outsold the '57 Chevy that year but I'm not sure if it was 2:1
  18. Very nice indeed!
  19. Thanks guys! Rob...yes I would like to see something like this in a Plymouth or Dodge.
  20. I have had a few requests to post my last two builds together in one photo showing the 1957 Ford Custom squaring off with the 1957 Chevrolet 150. I would have liked to have taken the pics outside under natural light but weather is not going to permit me to do this for several days so I shot them inside under artificial light. Have a look.
  21. Looks great so far. I need one of these in my collection. Did the bumpers come already chromed? And do you use the AMT '57 Ford Fairlane as a donor kit?
