  1. that looks great , paitn is awsome as well looks supersmooth.. one small thing > next time maybe do the decals under a layer of clear coat , that way you dont see the edges and its all smooth .. just something i thought when i saw the pics .. would def look even better but seriously that rear is sooo awsome and the paint is great !! love this one
  2. just stunning and awsome scratch work , it just looks sooo good love the use of straws on the rear side
  3. put a superthin coat of primer on the truck cab .. and well its was smooth as .... without any bondo or ... used a left over amt pick up interiour and cut that up to use the floor and tunnel .. put the truck kits bench on there those fake pedals , i just left them you cant see them after fitting everything together
  4. indeed , looks great
  5. thx !! just found some great stuff to make a steel support ceiling ... with .. hope to continue the dio soon
  6. i def eant to say good job taking the time to get rid of all the sink anmd ejector marks .. i also think its statisfiing to build a lousy made kit into a real stunner ... a good challenge is nice every ounce in a while right ? i mean iof all kits where perfect all the time and came together too easy it would aslo take a way part of the fun not saying only bad kits are fun i like a well cated kit as much as the otehr guy
  7. awsome build !! just love it
  8. awsome reason (pay tribute) to start this build .... def. going to follow this ..
  9. nice very nice !!! i did this exact same kit , i also chopped the roof , lined up pretty great i must say !! gonna follow this !
  10. painted the shifterknob and steering wheel while they where inside lol made the steering wheel brown wood like and chrome.. the knob started with a base of chrome , then a light wash with brown and orange clear from tamiya over that , almost looks like polished walnut wood did some general clean ups after the salt weathering
  11. have a look in the pick up section (on the bench) there is a combi build from me atm .. a hauler (thats why its there) and a ford roadster dry lake racer . kind of the same era / style as yours , i already started weathering .. take a look maybe you like it that way (or dont) if so you can always pm me about the weathering the method i used for the wheels and body salt build up is actually supersimple
  12. ###### , thats realistic looking !!!
  13. love this build and progress , cant waight to see this painted !!!!!!!!
  14. just too nice .. pleasy make it a bit less realistic ?? love this
  15. thnx , the build thread is somewhere here also ( i build that recently out of 2 kits)
  16. thats cool .. at first teh wheels looked a bit toy-ish .. but now > cool !! love the details ..
  17. fun idea's , curious on the progress
  18. awsome !! go nuts on this kit !! please one thing i chopped teh exact smae kit (roof) mine did not line up as nice as yours .. i can tell you that
  19. the exhaust i want to use and make on the sides (later on) placed a shifter (too dark to get on a pic) and i found a great steering wheel fits like a glove , needs paint still got a lego helmet from my son and cut it so its open face , will close the visor holes and paint it later then got it towed away for the night on this pic. you see the grille good wich got a wash
  20. thnx and well i love shiney as well but weathering is jsut so much fun to do .. and also a challenge .. for me it makes a model come to life really.. i knew this one had to be weathered because looking at older dry lake racers i just loved the used and dirty pics more then the clean ones
  21. whow you got some cool custom building ahead awsome idea even if you only pick a few mods from the example it will be way cool
