  1. I'm curious about the tool above. Though I fewer problems with Tamiya acrylic paint bottles sticking than the old Testor enamels I use to use, it still does happen. Went over to eBay to look for above product. It seems be readly available, and for under $10.00. I may have to get one.
  2. Okay. It may have strayed for topic a bit. But, in general I thought it was being done in a light hearted way.
  3. A great review. And a great build. Thanks for sharing this with us, Ken.
  4. Oh good! I'm glad to they are included in the '57 Fairlane kit where they belong. I was understanding this was not case, and thought it was a little tacky that Round 2 would then sell the part separately. Despite that. I still have no interest in the set separately.
  5. If you go to the "All the Rest" section, you can see the Lindberg Jolly Rogers kit I just finished. Hex Marks the Spot. It was a very fun kit to build. And really like the way it turned out.
  6. Greg started what I thought was an interest discussion questioning why we don't have any decent plastic Crosley kits on the market. I thought the discussion was going along fine. I saw nothing really offensive going on. In fact I found the opinions given there quite fun and informative. Then, all of sudden, yesterday afternoon, the thread was locked. I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what happen. Why was this thread all of sudden locked?
  7. This is my opinion only. But, I do find the above resin body anywhere as nice looking as what Revell gave us in their kit. Too much of a chop, and I really dislike those quarter, "C" pillar windows. I'm glad I got my Revell A coupe when I did.
  8. On this one Greg, can you show us more? Just showing us the rear end of this one does seem to be generating any comments. I mean, it's a nice rear end. But, so? (Or is that "Butt, so?") It looks like a interesting car car in general. Show me more.
  9. Again, as noted before, the few Pegasus kits I've purchased and built are all top notch. As good of quality as Moebuis' kits as far as I'm concerned. But, on their manufacturing side, up to this point at least, has not been on cars. Maybe that will change if they see how well Moebuis' car and truck kits sell. Out of anybody who could take over Moebuis, I feel really good hearing that it's going to be Pegasus. Again, other than the lack of car kits, their manufactured model lineup seems to match Moebuis' pretty well.
  10. One thing about Greg, he always seems to know where the good pies are. And find something to please just about any taste.
  11. Some auto parts stores, like the O'Reilly's I work at, can get paint custom mixed and placed in spray cans for you. It may take a few days. And it may cost more than normal hobby paint. But then you can get an exact match.
  12. I'm so excited by this one, that I'll be passing on it. Aren't these the missing customizing parts from AMT's original '57 Ford Fairlane 500 Trophy kit? If that's the case, that's where they belong. Back in AMT's Ford Fairlane 500 kit. Not in a separate package.
  13. Don't a lot of mainstream kits, including several from Round 2, come with Cartograf decals nowadays? Again, I hope all of the above claims are true. I'm just a little skeptical. The claims are a little grandiose. If going for accuracy, why is the rear bumper not correct for a '77 Cutlass? It's looks like the same bumper found on JoHans '75 kit and promo. It's got my Spidy Senses tingling. That's all.
  14. This kit hasn't even hit the shelves, and I'm already bored of it. If it could be built was a "stock" showroom Olds I might be more excited. I love the hype above. "the highest quality decals ever offered in a model kit" Really? Why am I skeptical on this one? And on this whole kit for some reason? There's a old saying, "If it seems to be too go to be true. It is." That's the feeling I'm getting every time someone posts something on this kit. I hope I'm wrong. I hope the kit is a big success. Encouraging more new model kits in the future.
  15. It must be that most of Aurora's molds went to Monogram. I say most, because both Polar Lights and Moebuis have reissued Aurora kits from time to time. I don't how this mold sharing thing works? Who actually has the molds? But, didn't MPC at one time also reissue some of Aurora's superhero kits in their boxes too?
  16. Another Crosley that would be fun to see as a model kit. A Crosley Farm O Road. By the way I love honesty in advertising here. No good looking models here. Just real folk. And doesn't Ma in the backseat look like a pleasant one? Pa looks he's just waiting for her to wack him in the back of the head if he does something she doesn't like.
  17. You forgot about having to out run the meat eating dinosaurs between home and school. I lost a lot of good potato models, because I didn't dare stop to pick them up when I dropped them. We did try using a Crosley once to go to school. But, they weren't fast enough to out run many of those meat eaters. Lost my brother Uhg because of that experiment. Still, I would love to have a model of a Crosley Hot Shot. The roadster version without the doors. The roadster with doors was the Super Sport. I've driven a couple over the years. They are fun cars. Will I ever see a Crosley kit of any sort out there? I doubt it. There is probably not a big enough market for it. Doesn't mean I can't wish for one. By the way, I'm sure our experiment of going school in a Crosley would have worked better if we had a sedan or wagon rather than a convertible. And Uhg might be with us today.
  18. Oh I understand why they did it. I still think the car would look better with skirts. And it is okay for others not to agree with on that point. We all don't like the same thing. Nor do we have to. That what makes life interesting.
  19. Another one of "regular guys" rants that I don't get. I'm never sure where he's coming from with these posts he starts? Or what are the point of them is in the long run? I'm trying to stay away from anything he starts. It's just so hard. Am I missing something? Are other guys understand where he's going half the time with these? Help me understand?
  20. Wow! That is one beautiful Connie in my opinion. Other than the lack of skirts, it's just about perfect. ?
  21. The '53 bed is what Ford did in real too, on their stepsides of that time period. They a lot of mileage from that stepside box. The only trouble with using AMT's '53 stepside box on Moebuis' Fords, is what do you with the Moebuis' box? It doesn't look right with the '53 cab.
  22. The steering on the wrong side! ? Just kidding. Both cars look pretty nice.
  23. I've built the Titanic with the LED lights (and as you can see, it's 1/1000 scale little brother). It turned out really nice. I love the kit.
