  1. I got mine tonight. And I have the same general impressions you have Roger. But, I do to make one correction on what you had to say about real cars. Ford stepped away from offering factory bumper guards on most of their cars from 1958 through the early 70's. And in 1973 bumper guards did not become standard on most cars. 5 mph impact bumpers became a requirement for the front of cars starting in 1973. '74 they were required in the rear. But, bumper guards for the most part were still options even with these new bigger bumpers. But, as far as the Revell Del Rio model goes, my initial look and thoughts are pretty much the same as yours. Scott
  2. At tonight's model car club meeting, I pickup up both Moebuis' '71 Ford Ranger XLT pickup and Revell's '57 Ford Del Rio Ranch Wagon. Got home, opened them up and took a quick look. My first impression of both kits? I'm fairly impressed, and look forward to building them both. I'm happy with what I'm seeing so far. Scott
  3. Yes I know Art. I have both AMT kits. I'm just suggesting that comparison photos of the real thing would be nice here. To get a clearer idea of why one would want a '27 roadster, when a '25 is available. I know we can search for photos ourselves. But, that's not the point. It would be more interesting to see why some people would like a '27 T roadster. What do they like about the '27 over the '25?. Show us. I wish I could post photos here. If I could, I would do so. Scott
  4. Very nice. I always like the looks of this car. Scott
  5. Who made the chairs? Did you? Or can they be purchased someplace? Scott
  6. Another great review Chris (hpiguy). I like your reviews. You seem to look at models the same way as I do. I'm not a ship builder at all. But, I've even watched some of your reviews on those, and enjoyed them. Keep giving us these great reviews. Thanks. Scott
  7. I'm still waiting to see one built stock. I want to see how that lower rear fender trim comes out, after it's been painted and foiled. Scott
  8. Yes, but the general look was still there. I don't know if a lot of people can tell the difference without photos to compare them to. Scott
  9. I have AMT's 1/43 scale 1948 Ford coupe. Easy to build. And its stock. Scott
  10. I know the rear deck is a big difference between a '25 and earlier, and a '26-'27 is roadster and coupe. The front end is also different. It would be nice if somebody could (sorry I can not) post pictures comparing the '25 and earlier Ts to the '26 and '27. So we can see the difference and maybe get more people fired up over this idea. Scott
  11. www.oldcarmanualproject.com is still one of the best. Can answer a lot of questions there. I just like to go there a browse through old car brochures and day dream. Scott
  12. Very nice. I have one sitting in my "to do" pile. Scott
  13. All three wagons look good. And the wide whites look fine on the car. Scott
  14. Very nice model. I really like the color. We had a B/W TV only when that show was on. Scott
  15. Very nice. Fun to see a stock one from time to time. Scott
  16. Very nice build. I wouldn't call it a "rat". After and year or two in Minnesota with our weather, that's what a nice trailer looks like. Any how, I'm impressed. Great job. Scott
  17. Like others have said very nice, and good to see one built. Hopefully I'll be getting mine this Wednesday. Scott
  18. Both the Johan '60 Plymouth wagon and their '60 DeSoto hardtop are high on my list. Scott
  19. 1937 supercharged Cord 812 convertible coupe (the sportsman). Scott
  20. I'm on the verge of finishing my '60 Ranchero. Are the axles too long? Or the shock wheel backs/mounts too short? There is a lot of side to side play with wheels mounted in the chassis. Yet they look like the wheels/tires will not be sticking out to far. Has anybody else noticed this problem with this kit? Scott
  21. Stunning model. Beautiful! Scott
