  1. Pink! Very pink. Few cars can pull off that color scheme and look good. Yours does it.
  2. Very nice. I like the colors.
  3. Kool! Not my cup of tea, but I'm impressed. Great work.
  4. You indicated that you don't understand what's going on with all the airplanes on the box art of the Che Riviera kit? The Havana Banana is part of the same joke. When these kits were release, a lot of U.S. planes where being hi jacked to Cuba. No extradition treaties. And security was almost nonexistent in U.S. airports at that time. This changed after serveral planes made non scheduled stops in Havana in the late 60's, early 70's.. The Beard of Pardise is the one that doesn't make as much sense to me. Why the old biplane? Still it's fun box art.
  5. Thanks Tim. It's a shame they could not have found space for the above. It was very informative. Though, I question the first photo you've posted above. I think you maybe made slight mistake in posting that photo. Or am I missing something? As you may remember, I am not a big drag racing fan. Yet your book above, is a must have for anybody interested in our hobby. As far as I know, I've got every book on model cars you've put out so far. I am hoping you have more coming in near future. Great stuff.
  6. Another part of my childhood disappearing. Loved Oscar's sense of humor and those great Auto World catalogs. Many of which I still have. He also started my favorite magazine on our hobby, Car Model. Interesting, I never knew the reason for Oscar's race cars running with the number 54, unit reading the above. Very funny. Like I say, I liked his humor. I still have PRDA (Polish Racing Drivers of America) sticker. Another thing start by Oscar back in 1970, when Polish jokes were all the rage. I always like the four membership requirements for the PRDA. 1. You had to be a race car driver of Polish descent. (Which qualified Oscar.) 2. You had be a race car driver of non Polish descent. 3. You had to be a non race car driver of Polish descent. 4. Or you had to be a non race driver of non Polish descent. The last one qualified me. By the way, Tony Koveleski was his father. And one of the pioneers of plastic automotive kits in this country.
  7. I too have always had the hots for Dawn Wells/Mary Ann. Sad to see her go. She still looked great, even in her later years. RIP Dawn.
  8. Thank you gentlemen. And answer Bart's question, Tamiya spray can TS-26 Pure White.
  9. You've been feeding your dog the same flavored food for three years? The dog is probably bored. Or maybe it's like me. I love fish, but not salmon. Wild or fame raised. But, even if I liked salmon, three years of it, I'd show disinterest too.
  10. I like the Plymouth better.
  11. The above is the reason I'm not a big fan modern cars. They are greatest cars ever, in terms functionality. They run better. Last longer. Are much more economical and reliable. But they all, to my eyes anyway, look too much a like. This last summer I bought a fairly new 2017 Chevy Cruze, with only 14,000 miles on it. Metallic Black. It's a very nice car. I love the way it does what does. It even looks pretty good to me. I like the car a lot. But... I see there is a Chevy in that group of cars above. I can't tell what kind of Chevy that is. Is it a Cruze or a Malibu? And I drive a Cruze! I should be able to tell. Sad.
  12. I was surprised to see the above photo. I never noticed before how much these two from the front ends look similar. I suspect that the Porsche had that look first? If so, it's another good job of Japanese copying. Having these two come up behind you on the highway, you'd have to look twice to tell which one it is.
  13. What's the point of the above picture in the context of this thread? To compare the Mustang to the Transit? I don't see a lot of similarities between the two.
  14. I'm thinking your first one feels more right. The above just does look quite right.
  15. I can't resist? Here are few more. I'd especially be interested in hearing your thoughts on last two. The first two are too easy.
  16. Opel GT and Corvette. Both GM products. And Celica? Like the European Ford Capri, the Japanese answer to the immensely popular American Ford Mustang, and other like pony cars.
  17. Here are two photos I found on the web a few years back that I found interesting. I'd like to see what you guys think. And have you seen any others like them?
  18. My gut is telling me that I think you may have found it. It looks the closest so far. Obviously a '58, '59, or '60 Lincoln Continental Mark III, IV, or V? But, who made the toy? Any better information or photos on it?
