I forgot to post these when I got them a few days ago. I love that box states that the Thunderbird included is a 1958 model. Sorry, it not a '58. It a '55. But, I knew that before buying it. So, I'm okay with it.

I'm glad to see Revell's stuff coming back. Even though the only kit I'm remotely interested in from the above is the '76 Chevy truck. I say remotely because if I remember correctly this kit can only be built as a modified pickup? And not anything close to stock. I hope I'm wrong on that. I'm looking forward to seeing what follows. Hopefully the rumored '57 Ranchero everybody, including myself, seems to want. I hope the rebooted Revell does very well in this country. It was sad to lose them for the short time we did. And I too am glad to hear Ed Sexton is back. I think he's done a great job with Revell in the recent past.

Just to let people know. I understand the "reality" of the situation. I just stated what I would like too see. Again, there really are only a few Japanese cars I'd like to see done as US spec version kits. And I'm not so sure the three cars I named would not be big enough sellers in this country to justify the tooling costs? They are: 1. Early 1st gen Toyota Celica. 1971 or '72. 2. The Toyota 2000GT. And 3. The Datsun 510. The vehicle I listed that I really never expect to see, because of those "realities" talked about. Is the 1970 - '72 Toyota HiLux pickup. But the other three? I think they might sell well enough in justify the costs. I hope the 240Z proves me right. Despite Revell's very nice 240Z, if this Japanese made version is of a street spec US car, I might be adding another 240Z to my collection. Im not a big fan of Japanese cars in general. They build great cars, that bore me. With the few exceptions above. There are only two other US spec Japanese cars, and one truck I want in scale form. The first gen Mazda RX-7. Taken care of through Revell. And the Subaru Brat. Soon to be taken care of through Round 2. The truck? The mid-'70s Datsun pickup. Again, already taken care of by Round 2. There might be a few others I could talked into. I do have the Mitsubishi built Dodge 50 in kit form.

1976 Chevy Sport pickup? I'll be very interested to see that, and what Revell may have done to it. How close to a stock Chevy truck can be built from this kits?

Okay. A few very cool things arrived on my front porch this afternoon. First a 1959 Chrysler salesmans price guide. In good shape, and very, very cool. Second two very old children's books published when I was a kid. Neither of which I had back then. But, they are Golden Books on two of my favorite subjects. So I figured I'd like them. And they were both in better condition than expected. Which is a nice little bonus. And then I also got one huge box. In it, something very cool. Dragon Models pre-assembled Boeing 747 cut away model. 1:144 scale, and modeled after the first 747 ever flown, "the City of Everett." In Boeing's house colors at the time. I've been thinking about adding this to my collection for a couple of years now. The question is were do I display it? I really have no good place in my house for it. Still it's so cool! I've always loved cut away and/or so called visible models, showing the insides of things. The kid in me wants to know how everything is laid out and works.

Went to a local hobby store this afternoon. Mainly to buy paint. But this also caught my eye. On their new products shelf they wanted $3.00 more than the ones on the regular model car kit shelves. Guess what I did? I saved the $3.00 of course. I did question in a friendly way about the price difference. They jokingly told me $3.00 kits were just better kits. One customer suggested that the kit cheaper had no glass. I hope he is wrong about that. The bottom of the box indicates it includes the glass. So I'm guessing he was joking too? Got to love smart aleck clerks and customers. And even more, saving even a small amount like $3.00. Plus another cool MoPar for my collection.

Not a US spec car. And that was point of my post. There are plenty of models RHD Fairlady Zs, Toyota Celicas and 2000GTs. Very few versions of US spec models. Cars that we could get in the US. The question is why? Or better yet, why not?

I wish the Japanese would do a few kits of their classic cars sold over here in U.S. spec form. The Datsun 240 is a good start. But, I'd really like to see a '71-'72 U.S. spec Toyota Celica. A left-hard drive Toyota 2000GT would be cool too. Two others I'd like to see. A '70-'72 Toyota Hi-lux pickup truck (my dad had one). And a stock, non racing, Datsun 510.

More than 50 years! I like the present C7 better. Which is the first Corvette I've liked since 1973. The end of the chrome bumper Vettes. This mid engined one looks okay. And it's aimed at people who buy Corvettes. Which isn't me. Mid engine Corvettes. Hybrid Mustangs. The times they are a changing. I may or may not like it. I can do nothing about it, other than buy the Corvettes and Mustangs I do do like. If I can afford them. Sadly I can not. Oh well.

In today's mail. I love these old kids kits. Missed this one when it first came out. I was too old for then. But now, as I've gotten younger, I can enjoy such things again.

Finally got Dr. Smith to give back the Robot's Power Pack. (Really the carpet monster, not Dr. Smith had it. Found it while walking barefoot in the area it fell.)

One night I paid $20.00 to see Prince. But I partied like it was $19.99.

I chould not figure out why baseball was getting bigger. Than it hit me!

I decided it's time to add this book, Howard's Golden Age, to my collection. Interesting website. A lot of cool books for sale. This maybe (read will be) a costly site for me to learn about.

Thanks Snake. You clued me in on what to look for. From looking at ridge on top of the fuselage, going from the cockpit to the tail, it must be a North American FJ-4 Fury? The Sabres and other FJ(-2/3) Furys do not seem to this spine/ridge on the back of the plane?

How did this one slip by with nobody commenting on it? It looks pretty good from what I can see. But, I'd like to see more. Plus, what is it? Your title calls it a "Hobby Boss Fury." It looks a bit like a F-86 Sabre. Yet something tells me it's not a Sabre. Please give us more photos and information. You might then get more responses to your posting. As I said, it does look nice. From what I can see.
