  1. I like where you're going with the panel lines....As I've seen them with and without rivets, I'd say it'd be your choice....I've noticed no less than 8 different 1:1 versions....I even saw one with a stealthy sawtooth pattern at the rear....I thought it was awesome looking.....
  2. Looks like you're really going after this one, Buddy.....I like what you're doing with the engine bay.....Somebody finally has the moxy to put an engine in this thing....I'll surely be watching this one.....Great job, so far.....The paint is looking good....Can't wait to see more.....
  3. Great start, Man....I've been trying to acquire some 48' Italeri American Trailers for just such a project.....I'll, totally, be watching this one.....I've got one, and another one coming.....They seem perfect for this kind of trailer.....Can't wait to see more.....
  4. Excellent work, Man....Excellent work.....I think you'll fit in, here, quite nicely.....Welcome aboard....
  5. This "less than perfect" build is astounding....I'm thinking you're ok with this one....Looks dog gone good, to me.....
  6. That's some amazing work, Dude....Amazing....
  7. You know, Kenny.....I think that just might work.....Depending on the material, I think you may be able to score the straight lines with a utility knife.....Cutting the wheel wells will require a mandrel or something......Even then, it's going to be some work....3mm thick, huh? Maybe a sign company could help you out.....The hamster and wheel in my head are working overtime, right now....Glass company sounds good, too....
  8. Yep....You've got a great start...The plumbing looks great......As everyone has stated, the little ring is supposed to be glued to the very tips of the axles, but rolling wheels are a bit over rated....I lost a Payhauler 350 because the wheels rolled so well.....My Volvo that I recently built has rolling wheels, but while the trailer wheels roll, they don't roll easy.....Keeping it ON the shelf.....
  9. Hey there, Dave...That first orange one is kinda what I had pictured in my head....The rims tires and fenders, anyway.....That's what I'm talkin' about.....I'm going to use the kit decals, though....As long as they're not brittle or anything....But that is exactly what I was looking for....Something in real life to back up my plan....Thanks for that, Man.....That's it....It will be very similar to that.....
  10. Tremendous job, Man.....That thing is looking extra special.....
  11. Yep....A bright, sun shiny day is the ticket, but I think my wife would throw me out of the house if I brought a model inside to dry..... LOL !!!! Funny, but true....Don't think I could get away with that.....
  12. Oh, this is cool, cool, cool....Looks great....Thanks, Dave from Moebius....
  13. That's a good looking ride....Interesting color choice, but I like it....It flows....Nice work.....
  14. I, totally, remember this car....It was, ALMOST, my first car back in '87....It was that or a Cavalier Z-24 (Anybody remember that one??) I chose the Z-24.... Great job on it...Brings back some memories....
  15. This is a really good looking car....Great job on the decals and everything....
  16. Looks pretty good....Nice work....
  17. Yeah, Man...That paint scheme is awesome.....Just awesome.....Man....I can only imagine what paint scheme a race trailer would be for this thing.....And can only speculate on the rivet count.....Oh, My.....Let's see what the truck looks like, first, shall we....
  18. Oh, yeah....You KNOW that's on the list of future builds.....
  19. It must have been my lucky day....I was nosing around at Hobby Lobby, when I stumbled onto these little knick knacks..... Some satellite tracking device antennas or whatever they're called....A bunch of them already made up....Just need some white paint and you're done.... A couple of shots to give an idea of the scale..... And some self adhesive Baby Moons....Various sizes....A little silver paint or Alclad and you've got it....I don't have an example of how these work, just yet, but I'll snag a set of wheels pretty soon to try them out on....
  20. I thought I was going to be able to start, yesterday, but we've had some pretty good flooding, down here....We're good, but I've had some calls I've had to go on for repairs.....But I'm back, now.... Assembly has started....The main part of the frame has gone together without much of a problem....As the article stated, parts 19 and 21 were mis-numbered and had to be swapped, and I had my first mishap for this project, already....Part #24, a tiny tank of some sort just shot out of my hand as I was sanding it and just DISAPPEARED.....No idea what happened to it....I'll see if I can find a suitable replacement for it in the spares boxes....Couldn't believe it just shot off without a hint of where it might be....Oh well...I hope that will be the only thing that happens to this.... Anyway.....The first thing I noticed when I opened the box is how many parts there are....But then as I started assembly, I saw how clean and flash free everything was....For a kit that was produced 27 years ago, it looks amazingly well appointed....Man, this has been in this box for 27 years......It's time to get built.... Still much more to do..... And thanks for posting your builds of this thing....I really appreciate it.....They're giving me some pretty good ideas of what I might do to this.....If there are any more, I welcome them.....I can use all the help I can get....
  21. Looking good, Man...Looking good....I need a few of these Silverado kits.....It was always a pretty good model....
  22. Amen, Amen, and Amen....Congratulations, Man....Praise God, The Father..... I know you'll be a great dad to him....He looks pretty healthy....They let you hold him, so I'm thinking he'll be golden....I'll be praying for y'all....Children are a gift and a blessing from God.....Enjoy him and, again, congratulations.....Awesome.... Gotta start calling you Papa Clayton, now....
  23. Yep....You read that right....No engine....And it is a bit steep for a curbside, but it's the only game in town....However, it is a very impressive model, once you get it together....I've built 7 up to date....This model has recently been completed....You can check it out under glass..... Thanks, Buddy....
  24. Good looking setup, Luke....Good looking setup....
