WESTERN STAR LOGGER..
kilrathy10 replied to Swamp Dog's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Oh, she's a beauty...Beautiful work on this one and great photography, as well....So many good models out there with bad photos of....I love to see peoples work shot up nicely...Bravo, Man...Bravo... -
I've been working on this one on and off for about 10 months, now...Got side tracked several times, but it's time to get busy, again...Started out as a snap Pete from Revell with a stretched frame...I built a camper box and added a little interior..I used Italeri Pete rims and tires, as they look SO much better than the snap rims, as I think you'll all agree....All I have to do, now, is figure out how I'm gonna do the elevator, ramp or whatever I decide to do with it...I decided on a brown/black fade paint scheme...Whatever car I decide to put inside will have the same scheme....Of course, that's a ways off...I've got a lot of pics of this one....As I stated I've been working on it since March...

1/16 Scale Pete Wrecker
kilrathy10 replied to kilrathy10's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
That is correct...With my latest 2 trailer builds, this wrecker, the Allied Vans truck, and one more Pete race rig I'm working on, I just finished off the first 4' x 8' piece...I love it..There's gotta be somewhere in AZ that sells plastic...I found this place, here in Houston pretty easily...Look for a place that makes signs and ask them where they get their plastic...I about lost my mind when they sold me that much plastic for only $20 a sheet.....I'm going to get some more, tomorrow, Lord willing.... And thank you guys...I appreciate the viewing and comments... -
Looks good...Love the tire marks...Good work...

Nice work, so far...Love the paint booth....Love it....That's what I need....Never would have thought of that....I'm going to find me a huge box and go to town...Wow....The things I find on these forums....Thank you for inadvertantly giving me this collossal idea.... Seriously...Why didn't I think of that....

Very nice work...I like the old stuff...These look really nice...I need a few NASCAR models for my race trailers, and these would be great subjects for them...Especially the Alliance truck driving model....I would love to get my hands on one of those...

These look so AWESOME!!! Amazing....And to think that some of these cars won't make it through the year without significant body damage.... It's a shame, but rubbin' is racin'....

NEPHEW ROUGH ON PLASTIC
kilrathy10 replied to Swamp Dog's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Yep...They always think they're toys....They just have to get their hands on them, and then....Boom, Smash, and Crash...I hope you're able to fix it... -
Race Trailer For My Buddy x2
kilrathy10 replied to kilrathy10's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
The first trailer has full size rims and tires and the second has the shorter rims and tires...For the full sized rims and tires you can use AMT's or Revell's or Italeri's...You can use the toy rims and tires or the rims and tires from the Italeri race trailers, which I have found to be the same size as 1/32 scale rims and tires...Opens up a lot of possibilities...As for blueprints...There are no blueprints....I guess I could make up a set, but just about every trailer is a little bit different...Just as all 1:1 trailers are custom...I'll make up a set for you... -

Lol...I actually bought a couple of models of Mr. Spock and Odo from Star Trek from there....I still have them, but I only bought them because they were a dollar...Don't really have much interest in vinyl models...
