Love the '60 Chevy's and you're making this one look great. Absolutely beautiful Dave. Dennis, that's a good looking '59 as well.

Love dem Mopars, it looks pretty darn good to me Bill, I got one in the works myself.

It's a Pontiac, what's not to love and you rocked this one Stephen. 2 thumbs up all the way.

I agree Glenn. Mike, what you have done gives the whole design a lot more cohesiveness than what Ford actually done on the real car. Great job.
-
Lance, I'm diggin' where you're going with this. It's looking pretty sweet.

I always thought the Gremlins made cool street machines. A buddy in high school dropped a built 350 in one, man that thing was scary quick. Looking great so far.

That is soooooo sweet, nice job Vesa.

You're welcome. Here's one you might consider. It's a 1/24 scale diecast kit. It would make a good match since the Superbird kit is also 1/24. I have it and bought it off of Ebay for $20. Prices vary though, just keep an eye out and you can generally find one cheaper than a plastic kit like I did. Most everything is already painted, unless you want to change something and or do some minor detailing. Having the body already pre-painted helps a lot as getting the wing painted to match the decal stripe in a plastic kit can be tricky dependent on the base coat color of your model. it can throw the shading of the stripe off a bit making it look mismatched. Just a tip to maybe help. Good luck and most of all have fun. That's what it's all about. And here's how it looks assembled. Not too shabby.

Ethaniel, keep at it, you are correct, each one will get better. Looks really nice so far. I love the winged warriors, they are wicked.

Monogram 66 Malibu Street Rat

Hi Brian, I cut out the section where the hood scoop went and grafted in the section from a Lindberg '66 Chevelle hood then scribed the hood lines in as I built this as a curbside. I never liked the grille, so I cut it out and used a photo-etch grille as well as the rest of the PE set from Model Car Garage. The wheels came from a Monogram '70 Chevelle kit. The GTO chassis worked great, if I remember correctly all I had to do was some minor filing at the front of the chassis to fit the shape of the Chevelle front end and a little surgery for the shape of the rear seat fitment. The separate outside door handles, wipers, mirror and antenna were just spare parts box items. -
'66 is my favorite year and your build is exceptional. Nicely done Uelder.

I picked mine up at a model show in Toledo for $12.00. It was the black version. This is the route I went using the '64 GTO chassis. I wanted a stock '66 to add to my 1/24 diecast collection. I'm going to use the chassis and other parts plus the parts from the '64 GTO and do a GTO street machine. I heard all the horror stories about this one but I wanted to show folks it can be made into a nice model given a little work. This is how it compares size wise to the Monogram 1/24 '64 GTO. -
I think it's been cloned, they even copied the wrong slopping fin. The fin should run straight and true all the way to the rear as in the 1:1 pic.

Gorgeous Steve. Most aren't fans of the '58 but I sure do love 'em.

I'm a droolin' Stephen, I love Pontiacs and this one's a beauty.
