  1. Thanks a lot guys! It does look a bit like the hearse Joker, but I think the Camaro flows a little better.
  2. Dang, a little bit faster and he would have cleared the road. So close, grab another truck and try it again!
  3. Thanks a lot for the encouragement guys! Mike I figure it is like anything else, the more experience you have the easier it becomes, so the next one should go a lot smoother. Hopefully. . .
  4. Thanks guys, I'll try to get some better pics once I get my camera back.
  5. Thanks Cobra, glad you like it!
  6. That is way cool, awesome build.
  7. Would that be a "Magnaro"?
  8. Just finished this one up in the "on the bench" section, here is a link for those who want to check it out from the start: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75133 This thing was a pain from the start, and I'm still not completely happy with it, but overall it came out alright. There are quite a few small paint issues and such, but I'll take it for my first project with major modifications. Enjoy! Edit: Sorry for the terrible cell phone pictures, I didn't have access to a camera when I took these.
  9. It's finally done! Finaly assembly was robably the worst I have ever had. I ended up having to break the rear panel directly under the back bumper off in order to get the chassis into the body, and even though it is nowhere near perfect, I will have to live with it. Thanks a ton to everyone who followed along and gave their input and support, I will post all of the final pics in the "under glass" section.
  10. Awesome story. I definitely understand the pride thing, I was super proud of mine when my grandfather gave it to me. I still have it and all of the bits and use it pretty often. Heck, I'm still proud of it!
  11. That Toyota 4x4 at #29!!! That thing was way cool, looks pretty similar to my 1:1 except mine is an 86 and blue.
  12. I have a channel but it doesn't have any model car videos. Mainly helmet cams of me on my dirtbike or BMX videos. You can check it out if you want by searching 485Josh.
  13. It's always good to see some pro-touring cars built, looking really nice so far.
  14. Wow, congrats on the purchase! Looks like a heck of a lot of fun to drive.
  15. It's amazing how cleverly they explained that system and the examples they showed were very easy to understand. I always had trouble visualizing how it was possible for the spider gears to provide power to two wheels and then power only one, but the simplified nature of that video completely allowed me to understand. If I was GM I would still use it!
  16. That is a really cool bit of detective work there, pretty interesting to see the stories behind what happened to old companies and buildings.
  17. I wish I was alive at the time.
  18. Darn, if this contest was a few years later I would have a chance. I'm hoping to get a mechanical engineering degree after starting college next year.
  19. Really nice! Looks killer
  20. That has to be the most irritating problem with cars now, forget to change the frame oil and the dang front end just falls right off!
  21. While it may not be "reality", it is still interesting to watch. I really like the look of the murder nova, really has a sinister vibe to it.
  22. That is way cool, I would really like to meet him one day as well.
  23. It was down for a while after being hacked. Gregg put a ton of work into getting it going again, sounds like it was a real mess!
  24. I hear ya, I think I might have a small case. Some nights the sleep just doesn't want to come!
