Your concept and execution on this build is fantastic. It's not my thing either but in whatever category it falls into YOU NAILED IT!!! The fifth wheel and surrounding area look real. Excellent weathering. It's awesome

I appreciate all the kind words. This car took about a hundred hours to do. It was very helpful to be able to use the pics from the interior shot car. As you can see from the under hood shot, this car was minimal. Tarentino had a LOT of homages in this movie. One is the reference to Bullit. The Vanishing Point Challenger (which I believe the DP car also had the plate number of OA5599). The Charger was chosen, and it's plate, from the movie Dirty Mary/Crazy Larry. The Convoy Duck and there's more stuff too. The Duck is a casting I made from the one in the Convoy Mack kit. Good thing I cast it too as I broke 3 before I got this one to work. There is a dip-stick and I added lines to the brake booster. The Skull and Lightning bolts are painted. I sprayed the hood white, masked it off and finished with the flat black. I had really thought about making the lock mechanisms work on the doors but, hey, it's 1/24th scale. Kudos to Dragline (Bob) as a trader too. He is one great guy.

I have had some time off so I spent time looking over the site, clicked on myself, and found that I had never uploaded pics of my Death Proof Nova. I think the reason for this is at the time I joined this forum the pics were not on my computer. This car was built in 2010. I used reference pics of the "Interior Shot Car" which was posted at deathproofcardotcom. I can no longer find that link. There is a whole lot of detail, down to the way the plug wires were draped over the motor. Shortly after it was built I was contacted by a gentleman, from the state of Washington I believe, who asked to use my photos while he built his 1-1 scale car. Love the movie and I'm not done with the film yet. This is where my user name,signature and avatar comes from. Sorry that a couple pics are out of focus. Questions/comments welcome. The Trabant wagon looks very similar to a Volvo 240 wagon, a model I wish they would do.

After eleven months of procrastinating I put the model I had stopped with back on my work table. I may not finish it soon, but at least I am making progress. Been too long. I was trying to go "Super Detail" which made me afraid of messing it up when I assemble it. If I have to leave off some detail-oh well!

A lot here depends on which scale. Anything larger than 1/24-1/25? As said by LDO, there were two Revell 1/16th Step side Pick-ups. I have a couple ads up looking for them. They are the Swamp Monster and the Giant Tracks. A kit I'd like to see again is the MPC (early) Sportster, I have ads looking for that too. They had the "Then Came Bronson" bike but there was a stock issue also. Kits that were never made to my knowledge that I'd like to see: A 1/8 (or 1/6) Harley XR1000 or the late 70s XLCR Cafe Racer. How about at least an E-type Jaguar to go along with the Monogram 1/12th '67 Corvette? Or a Willys Gasser to go with the drag version of the same Corvette? BTW, why don't the doors open on this Vette??? A 1/8 Willys would be nice too, I believe they are available in resin. I think one determining factor may be that it takes an awful lot of plastic to make these larger scale kits. With the price of raw materials the MFGs are probably very wary of new tooling for them.

I concur with those suggesting the USPS. I also do a fair amount of shipping and I purchased a printer and a 0 to 25 pound scale so I can print and weigh my own packages. I use the USPS online service and you do get a discount and I have the package scheduled to be picked up at my house. I do not have to make the trip to the PO. I ship Priority Mail and I supply my own box as it is cheaper than using the USPS Priority Mail box. Usually one plastic kit sent that way (in my own box) costs less than $6.00. (Depends on weight/with the discount) If you are only going to ship an item every so often I would still suggest using your own box. If you are going to ship heavier items (like diecasts, etc) where the box is pretty heavy, that would be the time to use the "If It Fits It Ships" box. I have sent packages from Pittsburgh to the west coast that have been there in 2 days and the cost was less than $7.

Count me in with the Dupli-Color crowd. I use that and fingernail polish for my finishes. I have airbrushes but spray the primer and clear from the can. Also the color coat if it's the color I want to use. Available at a lot of different auto parts stores.

Nice build on the model Terry. I did a butcher job on this kit when I was young and it first came out. I'd also suggest dulling down the "fang" and eye color on the spider. I had a tarantula in the early eighty's. Best pet to own. As long as it has food and water you never have to clean the cage and you don't have to touch it if you don't want to. I handled mine, it freaked most people out.
