  1. Very nice indeed! You and your son have some real talent. Keep them pics coming.
  2. Very nice Mango! It's cool to see a Vega built. The lettering you did is far better than what I could pull off.
  3. Yes sir, that is one mighty fine looking Mopar. Amazing work Rod. Edit.... I started thinking I'd seen the 1:1 you were inspired by, so I took a look in my photobucket and there it was. I think, anyways, it's the same one. It was at the Mopars In The Park show in Farmington, MN last year.
  4. Very nice, it's always good to see Torino's, especially built as nice as this one is. Congrats!
  5. Killer stance, and Toreador Red sure does look good on it. Great looking build, and hope to see more of it soon.
  6. From one Ranger driver to another, welcome, and good to see you over here too. LOL. Bill gave some great advise on using enamel paint. I tend to go by the smell test as well....usually from about a week to several weeks seems to be the norm. If your paint still feels a little tacky by Sun/Mon, even if it doesn't really smell, I'd hold off for at least a couple more days before masking and painting the rest of the body, just to be safe. I try to use lacquer whenever possible, but still do use enamel from time to time. Good luck, and am looking forward to more updates.
  7. You're making great progress Niko. She's gonna be sharp when finished, looking forward to more.
  8. Hmmmm, looks very familiar to me. I built one in a slightly darker shade of red, with a black interior. Your's looks very sharp, love that shine. I agree that this is a great kit, everything falls into place with little fuss. On a side note, I didn't have the hood fitment issue with mine, luckily.
  9. Wow Carl, very nice paint! It's hard to believe that you didn't polish it. That is such a pretty color and suites the Bel Air very well. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  10. Nice and clean build Carl, just like you always do. You don't see this gen. of Firebirds built very often.
  11. Lookin' good. Those AMT Cyclone/Fairane kits are fun to build.
  12. That is a radical, and outrageous, build! What a cool idea. Excellent job blending the two cars together.
  13. Very sharp, I like it.
  14. Another beautiful Bird. Congrats!
  15. Stunningly beautiful build, Tulio. That green is very sharp, and the shine is simply incredible.
  16. Thanks again guys, glad you like the big 'ol boat I built. I've already started a new project, another Ford propelled by a 427. LOL
  17. Cool builds. I really like that Maverick.
  18. Looks sharp to me as well, and a commendable job on that interior.
  19. Thanks for the nice comments everyone. It's been quite some time since I built a kit like this. It was a bit of fresh air building a "quickie" again. I agree, a 63 or 64 please! That was something I forgot to mention (and the only other mod), I did drill new holes for the rear tires to mount into. I hate that saggy rear look.
  20. Good lord, that is a beautiful build! Congrats! I don't believe I've seen Benny's ride built before. I have the Model King reissue of the Cyclone that I hope to build into David Pearson's car some day.
  21. Sweet! You really nailed the weathering, great work.
  22. Finished this up last Sunday. I had the need to do a quick build, without putting in a lot of extra details, to re-charge the batteries a little bit. As basic as this kit is, I thought it would fit the bill rather nicely. I was planning on building it stock, but the more I looked at the 427 Cammer parts supplied with it, I decided to build it as a mild custom. With the Cammer under the hood, it would have obliterated those skinny stock tires, so I dug into the parts box and found some wide Goodyears. I did have to dremel the wheel wells and framerails some to get those fat tires to slip under the quarter panels. The steelies came from the parts box as well, and the covers are from the AMT 66 Fairlane 427. Other than that, it's just paint, BMF and box stock. The color is Testors One Coat Lacquer Star Spangled Blue. Wish I had some outdoor pics of it, but the weather has been pretty dumpy up here lately. Anyways, here are some pics, and thanks for looking.
  23. Awesome work on the Demon, Bruno. Excellent paint and detailing. I've done the dullcoat sprayed on chrome trick numerous times as well, it works great.
  24. 1/43...wow, I never would have guessed, very nicely done.
  25. That is a beautiful shade of blue, and suits the Olds very well. Nice work.
