  1. Incredible build, Sean! Your photography is top-notch as well. I'd love to build a Cyclone for myself, as they are one of my favorite cars from the era. Simply stunning build, thanks so much for sharing!
  2. Nice paint Niko, keep up the great work!
  3. Very sharp! Welcome back to the hobby.
  4. Excellent GTO Raoul! Makes me want to dig mine out of the stash.
  5. Seriously....under eight hours?! Wow, I couldn't do that in eight days. I could, but it still wouldn't look anywhere near as good. Nice!
  6. Another great looking Ford, nice work on the conversion.
  7. Nice Bronco! I have a couple I need to get to some day. I do plan on building one of them in the same color combo as yours. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Awesome builds Roger, and congratulations on Ronnie!
  9. Beautiful build. One of Ma Mopar's all-time best.
  10. Wow, nice Buick Dante. That green, along with the stripes, really look sharp on it.
  11. Good looking project Niko, you're off to a great start. Very nice work on that 409.....she's so fine!
  12. Thanks much guys! Jeff, I wish I could crank 'em out as fast as Space Cowboy does! Tim, thanks so much. Yeah, those decals do come in handy. Erik and Niko, I used Valspar Low Gloss Black followed by a shot of Model Master semi-gloss clear lacquer over the top for the interior.
  13. I've always used Purple Power. I pour some into an old peanut butter jar and close the lid. Usually takes from about a 1/2 hour to a couple hours, depending on how good the chrome is on the part, in my experiences anyways. The stuff is reusable too. The 32 oz. bottle I'm using I've had for 4-5 years and is still at least 3/4 full yet. Still works as good as it did on day one, as well.
  14. Good looking build. I agree, too, that you don't see these built very often.
  15. Looks great Roger, congrats. Nice trio you have there.
  16. Thanks guys. I was trying for the period correct look, and think I pulled it off pretty well.
  17. Long, low, and black....what's not to love?! Slick build, Tim.
  18. Both are great builds. That T-Bird is REALLY sweet though.
  19. Just finished this one up on Christmas Eve. A fictional car with extra decals I had laying around. Used the Downing and Ryan Fairlanes as inspiration for the paint scheme. The paint is Model Master Wimbeldon White laquer and Gaurds Red enamel. Headers are Thunderbolt units, and were a pain in the rear to make them fit decently....lots of chopping and filing of the frame rails and crossmember. Never did get them to fit great, but good enough to satisfy me. Paint was a pain too. After getting the first, and half of the second, coat of white applied, I ran out. No biggie, so I thought. I grabbed the new can I had on hand, and continued. Unfortunately, it was a bad can, as the paint came out in small, stringy globs, even after setting it in warm water and changing out the spray nozzle. So out came the easy off and the paint stripping began. I bought a new can, and test sprayed first, and found it to be good. Once the body was cleaned up, round two of painting began, this time with no issues. After applying the Gaurds Red and waiting forever for it to dry, I dug out the polishing kit and proceeded to nearly burn through a spot on the passenger side quarter panel. I didn't feel like slapping on another coat of paint, so I went the easy route to cover it up, and hence the Hurst and M&H sponsor decals. I thought the hood scoop was lacking a little height oob, so I added some .015 x .060 strips of Evergreen into the hood scoop inlay on the hood to raise it up. Then I puttied and sanded the seam smooth. I also had to do some fiddling to get the tires centered up in the wheelwells. A fun build, but I'm glad to have it off the bench. Is it totally correct for and SS/B class car, probably not, but close and good enough for me. Thanks for looking, any questions or comments (good or bad) are welcome. A few more pics in a minute or two.....
  20. Now that's awesome, and very original. I bet she'd be a handful behind the wheel.
  21. Great build Steve. That's way too nice to be cooped up in a box!
  22. Well done, a nice and clean build. As was posted earlier, that shade of green looks just right, what is it?
  23. Super build. Those quarter panel stripes are cool. Thanks for sharing.
  24. Very cool bird. Nice job in getting the motor to sit low enough to allow the stock hood.....it helps keep the sleeper look to it.
