  1. Thanks again guys, glad you like the big 'ol boat I built. I've already started a new project, another Ford propelled by a 427. LOL
  2. Cool builds. I really like that Maverick.
  3. Looks sharp to me as well, and a commendable job on that interior.
  4. Thanks for the nice comments everyone. It's been quite some time since I built a kit like this. It was a bit of fresh air building a "quickie" again. I agree, a 63 or 64 please! That was something I forgot to mention (and the only other mod), I did drill new holes for the rear tires to mount into. I hate that saggy rear look.
  5. Good lord, that is a beautiful build! Congrats! I don't believe I've seen Benny's ride built before. I have the Model King reissue of the Cyclone that I hope to build into David Pearson's car some day.
  6. Sweet! You really nailed the weathering, great work.
  7. Finished this up last Sunday. I had the need to do a quick build, without putting in a lot of extra details, to re-charge the batteries a little bit. As basic as this kit is, I thought it would fit the bill rather nicely. I was planning on building it stock, but the more I looked at the 427 Cammer parts supplied with it, I decided to build it as a mild custom. With the Cammer under the hood, it would have obliterated those skinny stock tires, so I dug into the parts box and found some wide Goodyears. I did have to dremel the wheel wells and framerails some to get those fat tires to slip under the quarter panels. The steelies came from the parts box as well, and the covers are from the AMT 66 Fairlane 427. Other than that, it's just paint, BMF and box stock. The color is Testors One Coat Lacquer Star Spangled Blue. Wish I had some outdoor pics of it, but the weather has been pretty dumpy up here lately. Anyways, here are some pics, and thanks for looking.
  8. Awesome work on the Demon, Bruno. Excellent paint and detailing. I've done the dullcoat sprayed on chrome trick numerous times as well, it works great.
  9. 1/43...wow, I never would have guessed, very nicely done.
  10. That is a beautiful shade of blue, and suits the Olds very well. Nice work.
  11. Excellent build!
  12. Hmmmmm, very inspiring......maybe my next project. Great start, and those decals look really good.
  13. Both look great Brett, hard to believe you built them in a week! Wish I could do that, and still have them look this good. I built the Cuda last year, and still need to bring Mongoose's to the bench.
  14. Looks like you have a bright future ahead of you in this hobby! Very nice.
  15. Real sharp build Bruce. That is some exceptional foil work.
  16. 90% 43 of 48 right. Surprised I nailed the hood ornaments. Those Mopars gave me a little grief.
  17. Couldn't agree more. I do like the current C6, it's the only Vette post-1967 I really like. This new one isn't bad from the door forward, but that back end is very busy and ugly, almost cartoonish/batmobile like. In that straight on shot of the rear, I found it kinda odd that while the all the lines flow inward and pulls you in towards the exhaust pipes, the third brake light does just the opposite, pointing outwards. Yes, it's only a small detail, but it jumped out at me right away.
  18. Wow, amazing build Donn. I've seen 1:1 show cars that don't have as nice of paint as your Dart does! Top notch build, congrats.
  19. On my to-do list as well, LOL. Nice work. I'll have to go check the roof on mine, thanks for the heads-up.
  20. That is awesome, nice work on the kitbashing. Plum and White always make for a great color combo, and the Magnum's are the cherry on top. Congrats, and thanks for sharing.
  21. I'm usually not a real big fan of modern/oversized wheels on old Detroit iron, but sometimes they can look good. Your Galaxie is one of those that do. Great looking model.
  22. Great looking Nova, nice detail all around. Excellent choice in going with that subtle color as well.
  23. Very nice, I love that intake as well. Looks good slammed to the ground.
  24. Beautiful Grand Prix, Ron. That blue really shows off the great lines of this car. Nice work.
  25. Great builds Curt. 2012 was a good year for ya, and hope 2013 is even better.
