  1. ^^This^^ What a beauty and thanks for sharing!
  2. Beautiful Goats Randy!
  3. I like this one a lot. The subtle weathering is spot on. Big fan of your color choice too. Well done!
  4. Finished this up yesterday, and had started it during my Dick Brannan AFX Mustang build. Tamiya kit, exceptional fit and finish as usual. It might just be the easiest going build I've ever tackled, a real pleasure. Paint is Tamiya Pure White. Box stock with decals from Indycals. I had lots of problems with the rear bumper stripes decal as they just would not conform and lay down decently with all the curves and corners. I tried my best for quite some time, but in the end had to concede defeat and accept how they are. All other decals went on fine. The ones on the rear spoiler and interior are from the kit. Even with said setbacks with the decals, I really like how it turned out and love this livery. Thanks for looking and any comments or questions.
  5. And now the ones that have been featured in Wheel Hub Magazine, with a couple others that were inside, and a McLaren that was parked out in front of the entrance.
  6. Thought I'd share some pics from this event which took place May 26. Wheel Hub Magazine and the museum collaborated together for this show, which included a cars & coffee outside. Was a terrific inaugural event, with about 1,200 vehicles attending. A lot of sharp rides of all varieties. I had been to the museum last year as well, and it is absolutely mind blowing how much stuff they have in there. I highly recommend visiting it if you're ever in the Lincoln area, you will not be disappointed. Here's a link to their website for those interested... https://www.museumofamericanspeed.com/ I haven't posted any pics from the museum itself, but rather just the cars that were in attendance for this event. I could if there's interest. Lot's of pics to come, was hard to weed it down but probably still too many LOL!
  7. That is one cleanly built model. You don't see these built all that often. Well done and thanks for sharing!
  8. Oh man is that ever nice! Beautiful execution on all the mods & details. You really knocked it outta the park.
  9. Wonderful build of such a cool, historic, drag car.
  10. Thanks a lot guys, she looks good on the shelf at least.
  11. Mighty fine looking, Randy! Excellent trim work and a beautiful color.
  12. Very nice! Always liked the looks of Don's cars, wouldn't mind building a couple of 'em myself.
  13. I finished this one up a few weeks back but never got around to taking some pictures. Not an accurate kit for replicating this car obviously, but did the best I could modifying and adding/deleting stuff to make it at least a bit closer to the real deal. Paint is Tamiya TS-87 Titanium Gold & TS-26 Pure White. Ended up with a couple small boogers in the gold but left them as I didn't feel like stripping it down and starting over. Overall a really fun kit to put together, even with it's shortcomings. Here's a listing of the most notable mods I did to it... Ditched the straight axle and cobbled together the torsion-leaf suspension the car had up front, using some pictures as reference. Rear suspension was lowered some. Wheels & tires from the parts box. The cam covers I got during a trade with Plowboy (RIP Roger), while the carbs, intake & tubes, and oil pan came from my parts box. Header extensions using brass tubing. Comp. Resins hood. Front and rear splash pans have the lights and license plate frames removed. Bumpers had the guards/daggers? removed. Filed down the headlight details so they resembled aluminum plates. Trimmed out the rear quarter window louvers and put in some windows. Removed the windshield wipers. Fireball Modelworks door handles. They are for B-body Mopars, but close enough for me. I'm sure there are a couple others that are not coming to mind right now LOL. Thanks for looking and any comments or questions.
  14. So sorry to hear this Carl, but glad it wasn't worse. Glad you're on the road to recovery!
  15. That's a looker for sure. A lovely, and unique, color choice that suites it well. Nice clean work on all the trim too. Well done!
  16. This behemoth, easily the rarest I've got. Got it in a trade with my Uncle back in the late 80's-early 90's. I've never done anything with it. Best I can tell it's complete, only with some sanding done to the body, and a section on the topside of the chassis with what appears is a test spray of paint.
  17. I've been getting a bit of a bug lately to build plane from my stash. Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for reputable (and quality) decals? Mostly would be interested in WWll through Vietnam eras in 1/48 scale. Thanks for any help!
  18. Beautifully done. I agree on the color combo, it sure is sharp.
  19. I agree, man do I ever hope that's not him, but have a bad feeling it is. He's such an accomplished builder and I've learned quite a bit from him over the years. We traded some parts last year that went into his 62 Galaxie.
  20. That Metallic Orange looks great on this, as do the gold wheels. Nice work Scott!
  21. Nice kitbash, that's a beauty! Sharp blackwash on the grille, the vinyl top is a great addition too.
  22. You nailed that mean work in progress look for sure. Love that look myself, too. Very nice work!
  23. Even with the issues with the decals you faced it is still a really sharp looking build. Will be looking forward to seeing your P-51.
  24. The decal work must have been tedious but man you pulled it off with aplomb. Very well done, that is one great looking Corvette.
