  1. That's one rockin' GTX, Lewis. Beautiful paint & foil work. Love that hood, too. Thanks for sharing this, as I have a Hellcat engine from Iceman as well with plans on dropping it into this kit. Gives me some inspiration.
  2. That's a beautiful Caddy, very nice work. Clean work on the miles of chrome.
  3. Many thanks again guys!
  4. Thanks for posting this, mine's been calling my name from the stash. Your added pieces really are a nice touch to this simple kit. Well done!
  5. That is a clean build and has held up over time really well. Engine detailing and chrome work look really good. I built one awhile back in the same colors.
  6. That's one tidy Merc David, well done. Thanks for the information on the paint, I've seen that brand around and have been curious about it. Looks like it lays down nice.
  7. Thanks so much guys, this has become one of my favorite builds in my collection.
  8. ^^^What they all said^^^ Sharp build Scott!
  9. Great work on that GSX John! Those are my favorite GM musclecars. Got one in the stash to build in white to go with the yellow one I built....someday LOL!
  10. Excellent build and those colors work so well together on that beautiful body. Nice job on widening the track width and centering the tires up, had to do that on mine as well.
  11. Here's my first completion of the new year. Chose Hemi Orange for the color, it and the clearcoat are Model Master, polished out. Going into the build I wanted it to resemble the period "day two" look as they say. So, I raised up the rear a bit, slapped on some 5 slot mags and beefier tires (both from Iceman Collections) and different exhaust tips made from aluminum tubing. I also tried, for the first time on a model, giving it a bit of a mild weathered appearance underneath and in the engine bay using Tamiya weathering kits. Really pleased with my first attempt at it and will add this to some future builds as well. My only real gripe with the finished build is that during mock-ups I failed to realize the firewall was a bit wide and pushed the front fenders out a little. Live and learn I guess, at least when it's on all fours you don't notice it. Thanks for looking and any comments/questions.
  12. Sharp build John!
  13. You had a great year of building, very realistic finishes on all of them. I really like the Allison Daytona and the Woody.
  14. Those Dart inner fenders made a huge improvement! Despite the decal problems, I really like the look of the white ones over that gold. Sharp build of a not so great kit. ?
  15. Great work Gil, those are most impressive! I can only imagine the time involved in that ship.
  16. Thanks Jeremy. I have thought about it, and may possibly happen.
  17. I'd say I have decent patience, but some of them really tested me! I think that may be why I brought the Cougar to the bench. Sorry for the late reply, but thanks again everyone!
  18. That is just a wicked, aggressive, and most impressive build! What's not to love here! Excellent build Steve.
  19. What a great thread, very cool seeing and reading about everyone's early builds. I'm pretty sure this is my oldest one still intact, a Monogram GT.350H Mustang. Best guess is I built it when I was around 12ish years old which would put the year about circa 1990. Probably was my best build up to that time, most certainly the most detailed. Love the battery ground cable ran all the way to the opposite side of the engine LOL.
  20. Great work Bob. You sure have a clean building style. Will be looking forward to seeing what you create in the coming year.
  21. Thanks guys!
  22. That's a handsome collection, may 2024 be just as successful for you. I really like the bubbletop Chevy.
  23. That's a wild ride right there, very cool.
  24. Those are all winners, Greg. What's the color on the Blazer? It suits it really well.
  25. Pretty average year for me, numbers-wise. Though, I always would like to crank out one a month but it never works out that way. Looks like I had a racing theme this year without trying to. Happy New Years everyone!
