  1. Just some basic measurements that can be taken from the finished model would be nice.(bed and ramps) That would give me an idea for when I build my own. I have one of the "Racers Edge" kits, but that is more for a dually pu, and while I was going to modify it for a big rig, maybe it would be easier just to scratch one. Hope I am not causing any trouble, and do appreciate all the input. I have a Bison started and just cannot figure which way to go with it. Car Hauler, log truck, dump truck...
  2. Ok, ok, I will let you know that the finished product is perfect, other than some people I noticed said there was not enough orange.
  3. While the finished product is stunning. I find I learn more in the WIPs. Next time, make some templates so you can scan them and share them with people like me.
  4. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for BMW wheels...
  5. So here is where another one of my kits ended up huh? You must have a pretty big bench.
  6. So did the Skymaro distract you from this one?
  7. That is a sharp looking bed. Do you happen to still have the templates?
  8. Why do I have this sudden urge to throw all my truck kits in the garbage.... Simply amazing work !
  9. Nice work ! Love the engine ! A guy back home has a turbo charged buick v6 with 5spd in one of these. Its scary fast.
  10. Ok, here is what has trickled in over the last few months, most of which has been through trades right here on this forum. The Tall T is brand new, the 1/8 Corvette is an old build with very little painted, the 1/16 Corvette is new, as are all of the 1/25 kits. I also found a 40+ car junkyard and an old partial built Ford C600. The really cool thing is the resin cast 1968 chrysler 300 hardtop. A friend of mine has been working on it for quite sometime. I have seven from the first casting. Bodies, bumpers, tail lights, and complete interiors. These bodies are so thin I cannot tell which is thicker, the resin or the plastic.
  11. Great trades with DPNM, Mkslow,Green Duster, AFXmustang, Eric N, and AFX !!! Thanks guys !
  12. I got a Seahawks Superbowl win !!! Right now I live in the middle of Broncos Nation, and let me tell you, horse meat is cheap tonight !!!
  13. I think every car I have owned has been because I felt sorry for it and could see what its potential could be....darned vision anyway. lol Currently have dragged home two '71 Dusters, a 65 and 66 mustang, a 65 Impala four door hard top, a 1972 BMW Bavaria, a 1942 Ford GPW, still need to drag home a 63.5 Falcon hardtop, and am going to look at a 62 Falcon sometime next week.
  14. Great trades with Dr. Kerry, AFXMustang,Alarmstrong, and Brudda !!
  15. Thanks, plans are to keep it original as far as paint and interior, silver with a navy blue interior. Would like to find a later model set of alloy wheels for it. My sister's inlaws own the ranch, born and raised on it.Its actually her mother-in-laws, and she and her husband have been into them for years. They have had a 2002, two Bavarias, and three 530i's. They still have a 1977 530, a beautifully restored triumph TR4, and two 1970 MB projects. Her brother has Alpha's. Whats funny is that a neighboring rancher has three Jag E types, one of which is Ford 5.0 powered. The old guy is about 6 foot 6 and wears a 20 gallon cowboy hat. lol
  16. My son and I brought home what will be his daily driver. Its a 1972 BMW Bavaria.
  17. Right back at ya ! Great trades with Quick GMC and Slammedi'am !!
  18. I'll find out when I get the 69 Nova kit. I found one and it shipped out today.
  19. I apologize to the mods for starting the thread in the wrong spot, but the next time you move one, it sure would be nice to give the guy a heads up. It took me awhile to find it. I see that the 69 Chassis is the correct wheel base. I wonder if I could graft the front clip of the 76 Chassis onto it, then the suspension would be correct. Looks like its going to take a couple kits to get it right. lol Plowboy, thanks for the visual.
  20. It will work for my needs, you wont see the top of the tranny once its finished, and the model will be wired down to the display case so it cant slide around.
  21. You, my friend, have a pm. Oh, and I started a needed thread for a kit as well.
  22. Thanks everyone. Now to go shopping for a 69 Nova kit. .....and dig through the stash for an automatic.
  23. I do not have one to check. I have checked the Revell 69 Camaro and its a tad short on wheelbase and comes with a four speed. If somebody has a 69 Nova and a 69 Camaro and can compare the two, it would be appreciated.
  24. I am in the process of replicating a 1:1 '75 Nova. The AMT kit leaves a lot to be desired. I looked through my stash for a donor kit that would give me the engine/tranny combo I needed and a better chassis, but cannot seem to come up with anything. I need a basic small block chev with automatic and better chassis detail in 1/25. Any ideas? TIA
