    Chris: I would certainly hope the IPMS folks can appreciate the work and talent that went into this funny car. Granted its not some type of military vehicle which gets most of their attention, but there is no denying the fantastic, skilled, and detailed work that went into this build! Good luck at the Nationals.

    Most all of the NHRA drivers are very approachable and friendly. My daughter had a similar experience with Frank Pedregon back in the day, and my wife got to meet Ron Capps and talk to him. Having gone to many NHRA and NASCAR events i much prefer the way NHRA handles the interaction between fans and drivers. Most NASCAR drivers come off as primadonnas!

    Great job! My second car was a '69 Impala, opposite colors of your SS, white car with blue interior. Unfortunately mine wasn't an SS, it had a 327, electric windows, electric seats and locks. I honestly bought it from a little old lady........ One of my favorite cars.

    I understand the best engine award, well deserved, but if that is second place in large scale there is no hope for mere mortals! Fantastic model, the level of detail is amazing.
