  1. I finished painting my son's old bedroom which is turning into guest bedroom/model room and was putting my model cases back on the shelves when one caught the shelf bracket, slipped out of my hand, and crashed to the floor! Now my Darrell Waltrip Mountain Dew car is in about 30 separate pieces. Hopefully I will be able to put it back together again. I have since put all my finished models in a glass display showcase so hopefully that won't happen anymore
  2. Chris: amazing level of detail, it is really looking great, keep up the phenomenal work.
  3. Love the color, always nice to see a Ferrari in a unique color!
  4. Nice looking '58, love the interior, very nice work!!
  5. Very nice build John, great job, always love the old front engine dragsters!!
  6. That is a sharp looking car, very nice job!
  7. Aaron, you always do great work and this one is no exception!! Curious as to how it went together and what after market parts you used. I have this in my stash along with the Slixx decals for the black bodied version. Once again great job on this, you got to love the Grand Am, it's so ugly it's cool!!
  8. Gene, thank you very much for the information!!! I believe my problem is with curing, I know it did not cure for 8 hours before spraying, probably more like two hours!! Hopefully I will get a chance to try again this weekend.
  9. That is simply incredible work!! Beautiful model, the interior looks just as nice as the 1:1.
  10. Not generally a fan of lowered 57's but with the speedster center section ( especially the sweeping windshield) it looks fantastic!! Definitely the right look for the car, very cool idea!!
  11. I am using Tamiya white putty to fill in locator holes and the hood blower opening cut outs on an AMT nomad. After several costs of putty and sanding I was ready for primer. I used Tamiya fine sandable primer in three mist coats only to find that the putty had lifted or expanded causing me to sand down the putty. I am now ready to prime again but am kind of leery of using the Tamiya primer. Was this lifting a fluke or is it normal, and has anyone else experienced this. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
  12. Amazing work Mark, everything looks fantastic!! What is the plate on the left side of the motor that looks like a delete plate?
  13. That is a sweet looking Camaro, fantastic job!! The interior and motor are extremely well done.
  14. The sound of my 330hp 350 cubic inch1971 el camino as it starts up every morning!! She ain't pretty but she's all mine.
  15. Great job, at least he finished in one piece and can drive it onto the hauler, very cool idea!!
