  1. Yep.. They sure did & I'll be getting a few of the roadsters ?? You guys State-side might want to keep your eyes open for a visit by 1 of Aoshima's senior managers ( International Manager, actually ? ) early next month ??
  2. It's nice enough... ? What is it you think you're not getting right or having trouble with, that this is your sixth attempt at building this Charger?? Maybe we can help? Are you trying to build it factory stock/correct? Mild custom? Your "ultimate" Charger?? Cheers Cliff
  3. It's only speculation...? However much I'd like it to be true ??
  4. Here's an idea... Next time try a hair-dryer... On cool of course ??
  5. They're worth more now?? Really? Can't see why? I picked up a couple years ago only to find they're not true 70 chargers. Wasted my $ ? they're sitting in my stash somewhere waiting to not be used ?
  6. I'm very sure it was... They used to remind you if you posted more than 3 pics... I guess they don't bother anymore ??
  7. You boys in Brazil are too good! Beautiful Camaro, Uelder! Although I don't agree with your opinion on it being the best car ever made in automotive history.... ??? Cheers Cliffo
  8. That's the other forum ( SAE ) . ? Was this Charger based on the Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry Charger? Or just similar ? Either way... Nice ?? Cheers Cliffo
  9. I don't think you should have a problem with the Tamiya, but if you're worried, do a test on a spare hood/part?
  10. Most of these so called "car movies" these days are throw aways... Not worth the time you lose watching them, they're just so far-fetched & to ridiculous to even begin to believe, including the F'n'F franchise. The cars are cool & that's about it. There's nothing else redeemable about them. It seems odd to me that out of all the movies being re-made today, that 1 of THEE best car movies/chase scenes of all time, that actually HAS a plot, has yet to be re-made... Bullitt ?? ( yes I know about that failed TV show that tried, badly, to re-create the iconic chase scene, but that's no movie. )
  11. Really? Would've thought this was common sense. If you're buying a kit/s produced 20-30-40 yrs ago you've got to know that the technology used back then would pretty much guarantee they won't be perfect & that flash/warping etc would be expected in some way/shape/form.
  12. I think you're wrong about there being no CGI. I've seen some "making of " scenes and there's definitely CGI being used in this movie.
  13. Trully spectacular! Best VWs I've seen! ?? Cheers Cliff
  14. Looks sweet Jonathan... But why are you waiting a couple of days to clear coat?? Usually it's done same day... Sometimes within the same hour, if there's no colour sanding needed ? Cheers Cliff
  15. Wish I was Steve Tyler... ??... ? Man that thing is FAST!!! Question though.... To be a Guiness World Record, doesn't any car ( attempting ) the record have make 2 passes ( up-back ) then have the speed averaged between the 2 runs???
  16. Super cool Sven ??!!
  17. I hear ya! ?? The Revell 68 Charger has plain steelies, as does the 70 Roadrunner kit... Or you can get them on-line seperately in resin ?? Here's an option for the tail-gate... Maybe try using the Dodge Ram or Sidewinder kit's??? Cheers Cliffo
  18. Actually mate Chrysler DID make "El camino" styled cars... Down here in Australia. We call them utes, short for utilities ?? If you do a quick Google image search for "Valiant ute" you'll see what I mean ? It might help with your project ( dimensions/style etc ) Good to see someone attempting a build like this ? Cheers Cliff Just an example for ya...
  19. Mate I don't know what calculator you used to get your percentage but $900 of $4400 is not 40%... It's just over 25%. $3500 divided by 4 = $875 ( 25%) ?? basic math. In the previous years, 67...68...69... The Hemi option was between $500-$600, ( from all info' I have read in Mopar magazines/books ) If we all had hindsight... We'd be filthy rich with a garage FULL of Hemi optioned cars.... ??
  20. Cool... What colour you going with Jonathan??
  21. That's fair enough Casey ? but I don't have these kits mate so I wouldn't know.
  22. Those sets are sold separately to their kits. It's trying to double-dip, getting you to buy 1 of their kits then finding out the tyres in the kit suck, then offering seperate tyre sets for more $... ? The only recent kit, that Revell has made, that has sidewall detail, that I know of, is the 70 'Cuda & they're Goodyears, so I don't know about this licensing issue with Goodyear?
  23. Don't know how I missed this sweet Mopar!! Awesome lookin' & awesome detail ?? Cheers Cliffo
