Once again some great things up ahead - I'm looking forward to great models from you , Dave - especially interested in the Maserati and the Alfa Romeo. -
This a great-looking miniature, Janos - unbelievable how you can work out these details in that small scale !

Very nice build, Ken. I agree with the others: 1970 was the best-looking Challenger. White looks good but is a non-typical color for Ken...

This is one fantastic build, Anders - looks like photos from a sales brochure - high-gloss paint in original colors and perfect chrome trim let this '57 really shine!

x 2: perfectly built models of these rare gems, Steven - a feast for the eye !

Thanks, Rich - but that was a simple out-of-the-box build.

I let it rest for about 10 days, then reassembled it together again, without taking care of the chromed parts (as the bike was a junker, anyway - but a good proving ground). But the new spraychromed parts showed no visual signs of wear from handling: So I went off and bought a second can...

More than a week ago, I received a shipment from Jack Modelling.with his excellent Ferrari 275 GTB/GTS alloy wheels. As he makes custom orders as well, I asked him to print for me 2 deep-dish wheel sets for Fujimi's 330 P4 (to be used with the 412P) - they fit like a glove with their tires, and - voila: after 30 years of waiting, I can finally build my 1967 Spa racer (just found out, that some decals are incorrect for this race due to better reference material)... With these wheels, you can also correct Fujimi's last reissue of their P4 , meant to represent the Daytona 3rd place car.

Absolutely wonderful model in every detail as always, Tomasz - could easily be mistaken for the real one, if the paint was a little less perfect. -
Though these cars do not meet my taste, you have built an excellent model here, Mario - flawless paint and crisp details as always ! Together with your superb backgrounds and photographic skills, this makes for an excellent representation!

Now THAT is nice !!! Just period-perfect. Seeing yours, I think I will keep mine in the stash (wanted to sell it)

This is definitely the way to go, Pierre - painting the grille number and then treat the grille accordingly - looks very convincing! A decal on fine mesh or fine ribs like here certainly would not work. I'm always amazed how you manage to achieve a fine surface with brush painting (smoother than I do with spray cans)

Very well done, Louis - I have the very same kit in my stash (it is the Airfix re-issue of an older Heller kit) and will save your pictures as an inspiration for my future buidl.
-
That is a very impressive car, Tim - I have 4 of these models that will undergo different treatments some day - at least the wheels have to be changed.

It certainly is one of the -( if not THE ) most succesful sports-racers ever.
