  1. Thanks, Bob !
  2. Very impressive replica,Tom - I would love to have this one in my collection. I cannot spot any faults when I go through my trucking books - Excellent !
  3. As ugly as the original truck is (to me), as excellent is your model, Michael: super nice build with perfect weathering - it looks like the real deal, can easily be mistaken for a real truck with the right background (as your photos proof here) - awesome !
  4. Fantastic models all of them Mark, but your T70 Coupél is all over the top (I followed your WIP from time to time -unbelievable!)
  5. Thanks, fellows - this is my all-time favorite Alfa Romeo :either the 1750 GTV or the 1969 Junior (with the new cockpit from the 1750 GTV)
  6. Thanks to all for the positive comments - a Happy and healthy New Year to all !
  7. Very nice nostalgia models, Dave - especially the T-Bird and the T street rod with its mid-60's flair caught my eye !
  8. Excellent replica of your favorite 1:1 car !
  9. Looks good - is this the car of Max Rockatansky's wife in Mad Max (I) ?
  10. A few more old (and sold) JoHans from the 80's (some very ugly ones, too):
  11. Well done, Mario - looks great in that color. Nice photography too, as always !
  12. Started several, but only finished these (all shown here during the year): 2 reworked (Italeri) Ferrari 250 GTO's : a rebuilt ESCI glue-bomb: and a re-worked Jouef die-cast:
  13. Impressive outcome - all these in one year ?
  14. Some nice pieces there, Matt - especially the Sebring MGC GT is a fantastic model !
  15. Cool - is this a Jimmy Flintstone resin cab?
  16. One of Giorgietto Giugiaro's design masterpieces when working for Bertone is the Giulia Sprint GT from 1963 - soon other variations followed. Ixo made some nice 1/24 diecast models which were issued under different names such as Leo models (Quattroruote), Metro/Fabbri, Hachette in different series and colors: The 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia GT 1300 junior was first released in the Quattroruote series (rosso Alfa = red, best details), then in the Alfa Centenario collection (Giallo ochra = mustard yellow) and finally in the 1/24 Auto Vintage de luxe collection (bianco spino = white) . Also in the Alfa Romeo Centenario Collection the legendary 1965 Giulia Sprint 1600 GTA was offered in Rosso Corsa (with all the correct details - wheels, tires, interior, grille and scudetto): With the additon of a few decals you can easily turn this one into a period-correct racecar: Everything opens, the details are very well done - excellent 1/24 models of a truly Alfa Romeo icon = must haves for all fans of the marque !
  17. Came out great - I see Jan Michael Vincent rolling down the highway...
  18. Goal achieved - 100 % ! Very nice model !
  19. Thanks, Scott !
  20. Excellent model, Brian - this is definitely my favourite truck model of the year !
  21. 2 years ago I acquired a bunch of builtup kits mainly for parts - among them was this ultra-rare ESCI Montecarlo turbo kit - at first glance it looked almost complete and I ordered some decals for the 1980 DRM (= Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft/German Racing Championship) winning car of former European touring car champion Hans Heyer, beating Hans Joachim Stuck in his BMW 320 turbo for the title. This is the original kit (internet picture) This arrived per mail: When I found out that several parts were missing, I went for a curbside and glued the engine cover shut. Missing parts like mirrors, wheel hubs and wiper came from the parts box, wheels and glass were intact. After disassembling and stripping the paint, it was sprayed with Tamiya TS10 French Blue. I added wire mesh in front of the rear wheels, the wing supports and in the back above the exhaust pipes. Front spoiler struts and tow hook were made from steel wire, Dzus fasteners came from a MCG photo-etched sheet, decals from Patto's place and Sam's diecast art. This is the final result:
  22. Nice collection, Gary - I have the Alfa and I'm thinking about the 356 Porsche... The two Jeepsters look good, too.
  23. I think this is a great product (especially for my non-plated resin kit bumpers) - here I have used it for some 3D printed spoke wheels from Jack modelling (presented in the Car Aftermarket section): no preparation at all, no primer, nothing! Just sprayed from the can (I have NO airbrush) directly onto the parts (description below the picture): LEFT: Spinners : Revell Chrome CENTER: Borrani spokewheels and spinners : Revell Chrome RIGHT: Borranis : Revell Chrome – with 2 light shots of Tamiya clear smoke overspray (next day)
  24. Stay cool, Tom - this will come out great as always - nothing wrong with a single exhaust on a fleet truck.
  25. Looks awesome, Brian - is this a transkit for the old amt Ford Cabover or a scratch-built conversion?
