  1. Very nice transformation of the 007 car into a normal street version, Mario, with your usual great photography. I will pass this on and wait for the standard version (I'm sure this one will follow sooner or later)
  2. Excellent models - the Ferrari looks like it was a bigger scale with its very fine details.
  3. Jason did it again - these will be the icing on the cake of your model, Pierre! I will order also several sets of these.
  4. I'm with you, Pierre - after the GTO and the Lancia turbo which gave me more headaches than expected, I need a simple one in between.
  5. Is this the Jägermeister 934 from Tamiya or Revell in the background?
  6. Just in from the mail (e-bay Germany): another 512 S (ex-Heller) and yet another Fujimi 246GT:
  7. Excellent weathering, Pierre - just the right amount of road dust and grime, especially the soot behind the side exhaust!
  8. Very nice as usual Gary - the 906 ("Carrera 6") is also one of my favorites since I had the _Corgi diecast as a schoolboy back in the day.
  9. Don't know why I missed this one, Charles - outstanding weathering again which is your trademark anyway. What impresses me most here is the crumpled and smashed glass of the rear door, almost falling out of its frame - how did you replicate that?
  10. Excellent, Louis - you are one of the very few who manages to let plastic look like metal. Very nice your spoke wheels and the rope-covered steering wheel. You captured the atmosphere of the original very well - here are some pics taken in 2008 in Vienna's technical museum (Special exhibition "Chromjuwelen") - unfortunately it was situated on a rotating turntable together with a Bugatti Type 35 and an Alfa Romeo 1750 Zagato and sharp pics could only be taken with flash ---
  11. Anders, this is just perfect - the paint finish, the detailing and your presentation: show-room quality! I have bult this one also back in the 80's (kit had no stock hubcaps) - not easy but the roof mechanism though crude as it is, does work indeed (albeit the roof shows a kink when closed)
  12. I'm with you, Bill - as a kid growing up in the 60's, I could tell any car from the others (sometimes even when hearing the noise) - each body had its own character and distinctive features. Time (and evolution) has smoothed all corners and edges which resulted in the cars we have now : very much alike - sometimes I can only differentiate them when looking at the company logo...
  13. The Giulia may be the iconic Alfa Romeo, built from 1962 up to 1977 in the company's best of times - its derivatives are all classics themselves (4 cyl. engines with 1300 and 1600 ccm delivered between 87 and 112 hp, in its final years a small number got a 1800 cc Perkins diesel engine - but only for Italy - which brought 50 hp but was no success). From the mid-70's Alfa Romeo was on a steady decline which resulted in the FIAT takeover in 1986. Alfa Romeo revived the old name: 2015 a new Giulia was presented, again with RWD, but with engines from 136 up to 210 hp (2200 cc, Diesel, 4 cyl. turbo) and 200 up to 280 hp (2000 cc, 4 cyl., turbo, Gasoline) - the strongest versions had 4WD. Production started in 2016. To top all this, the Quadrifoglio got the 2,9 ltr. Biturbo V6 engine with 510 hp (the GTA version even 540 hp) with RWD only. Interesting comparison between the old and the new - 50 years: Ixo made a light-blue 1965 Giulia Super in the Italian Quattroruote newsstand series for Leo Models (later reissued in red, white and dark red) - Bburago released the modern counterpart in deep metallic red and dark metallic blue: Note: Back in 1965, outside rearview mirrors were not yet mandatory in Italy !
  14. BBurago's new Alfa Romeo Giulia (2016) - my first modern model car for a long time:
  15. Always interesting to follow your WIP's Gary - the GT40 roadster is a missing link in the plastic kit history which we will never see as a kit (not even a Fujimi curbside - sigh!)
  16. I very much appreciate that you are showing us more progress on this iconic racer, Pierre. It will look awesome again: very nice details abound !
  17. Excellent diorama, Harald - would like to see this in person. I have admired your WIP over the last months. Here is a short video of the 1937 season (AVUS-Rennen from 0:37 to 1:03)
  18. Very nice Gary - just in time for the race !
  19. 3 excellent models, Allan !
  20. One of the greatest ever car designers whose creations put Lamborghini on the map, but a nice, quiet and modest man - here is an interview with Marcello Gandini - Bertone's chief designer from 1965 - 1980 (English subtitles available) about the creation of some of his most famous designs: and here is a slide show with all his creations - simply unbelievable to watch:
  21. Perfect - these will be very useful for several cars/kits of mine !
  22. Looks very good, Pierre - I think there is something great coming (as are the Borrani wheels Jason developed last year). A great benefit which could broaden the interest and of course the area of application when it is not restricted to only the MB 300 SLR but even others which look very similar - here is to prove a pic taken just now from 2 of my books: 300 SLR (left) and Ferrari 250 LM (long nose, right) - a compromise I could definitely live with!
  23. Very nice model in a great-looking livery, Mark! Unbelievable your 1/43 models (I tried some about 25 years ago, but gave up very soon and did not finish any - too small and fiddly for me)
