  1. This is one fantastic looking musclecar - wheels, tires, stance and paint: PERFECT !
  2. Very nice looking model with great details - a fine tribute to "Prince Charming" Francois Cevert.
  3. Absolutely top class model, Pierre ! I've been following your WIP all along - I will be looking for other modeling subjects for a while - this GTO can hardly be topped.
  4. Here is his ebay-store: https://www.ebay.de/str/jackmodelling?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l2563 The Alfa Romeo 1900 wheels are not (yet?) in his store, but you can order by e-mail directly: contact.jackmodelling@gmail.com
  5. The Revell plastic reissue shows exactly the same parting lines...
  6. Wonderful build of this iconic sportscar, Mario - your photo backgrounds are always the icing on the cake.
  7. In the mail today from Jack modelling: 1/24 scale custom-made 3D-printed resin wheels for the Alfa Romeo 1900 from the Centenario Collection - together with Scale Designs excellent decals you have everything you need to turn these into 1954 Carrera Panamericana participants (the steel wheels come with seperate hubs):
  8. Another one of my holy racecar grails: the 1969 Nürburgring 1000 km Jo Bonnier/Herbert Müller Lola T70 Mk IIIB. I know this is a slotracer, but it has a near perfect body and will be turned into a static display model.
  9. This looks great, Pierre - a bit disappointing is the lack of detail on the upper side of the gearbox (short cut fromFujimi) but this is going to be hidden under the floor anyway and cannot be seen when when everything is put together - the underside looks good: Everything here shows the right amount of use.
  10. Sam diecast art from Italy offers a lot of decals for Bburago, politoys and other diecast models -maybe you find here what you're looking for: https://www.ebay.it/str/samdiecastshop?_pgn=6
  11. John, this is an excellent model of the best-looking "forward look" Virgil Exner-designed cars - the metallic green paint is awesome - best choice !
  12. Kurt, just scroll up to the start of this topic - I have mentioned the dimensions inner and outer diameter and width of the tires .
  13. Very impressive Carolina fleet - awesome trucks !
  14. Pierre, I think you matched the desired color quite well. This is the problem with pictures from back in the day: they show the details (if they are of good quality), but they are either black and white or the colors look different on every picture depending on the lighting situation - additionally some may have bleached out over time, colors have faded or altered. So the best way is to rely on your feelings and find a good compromise (Pictures of restored race cars do not always sport the correct color)
  15. Jason offers these wheels and tires now also in his ebay-shop: https://www.ebay.de/str/jackmodelling?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l2563 Highly recommended !
  16. Fantastic work, Brian ! These fleet trucks look a lot better than those pimped-up, customized "truck-rods" to me - a very, very nice and realistic build!
  17. Very nice 911, Mario - veyr fitting color for this classic!
  18. Just checked my excel sheet concerning my stash - the most - still unbuilt - kits I do have are: 13 Mini Coopers (stock, racing and rally versions, Morris and Austin) from Tamiya, Revell andFujimi 11 Ford GT40 (including a Ford Mk IV) from Fujimi, Revell, Arii and LeMans Miniatures) 10 Lancia Stratos (rally, road racing and stock versions) from Hasegawa, Revell and Tamiya 22 Ferrari 250 GTO, 250 SWB and 250 California Spider from Italeri, Revell, Protar and Gunze Sangyo (including 4 transkits from Umi, Mini Exotics, Tecnomodel and Carrera)
  19. Very nice model, Janos - the Figoni & Falaschi creations are the epitome of the Grandes Routières from France in the 1930's.
  20. This is the real Gulf-Porsche :-) In Austria there is even a 24 hr-race with (modified and tuned) oldtimer-tractors (up to 1975) - 84 tractors start in several different classes - you can see them drifting, sliding and jumping around on muddy surface and on asphalt... (start is on Saturday, 2 p.m., the finish on Sunday, at the same time)
  21. Phil, I like Ferraris in other colors - the works cars have to be red, anyway. Penske's cars of 1963 and 1964 at the same time under glass is pure coincidence.
  22. Thanks, Dave - I tried to get the details correct as far as possible, but after painting I realised that the ventilation slots behind both side windows should have been closed (they do not exist on this very car). Unfortunately, I had almost run out of the color (can was used up), so I let it be like that.
  23. The icing on the cake is the figure of Tazio Nuvolari standing beside his race car in his racing suit - marvellous!
  24. Excellent build, Phil - this model looks aggressive and shows the untamed force of the original - even more so when standing beside its siblings which look harmless in comparison. I also like very much your group shots - excellent work in turning the Daytona version of the 2 D into the Nürburgring winning car of '66.
