  1. Nice work. I've seen the resin body on ebay and thought it wouldn't be too difficult to perform the required modifications on the AMT kit. You are proving it is doable.
  2. I think you will like it here Bruce - welcome.
  3. Love what you have done with the bus. Curious how the 911 roof section will blend in.
  4. Added bolt detail to the chassis mount and a protection plate to the rear differential.
  5. Glad you guys are following along, kind of an off-beat subject.
  6. I have this box but not the model which is fine by me. The kit wasn't a very good representation of the car.
  7. Thanks for posting this Jesse.
  8. Fabricated the chassis mount for the rear diff.
  9. Got the rear diff and half shafts fitted Added a guard to the leading edge of the baffle
  10. I'm not a '29 expert by any stretch but it appears Revell got the shape of the rear deck right compared to the AMT.

Nice build Rex of a challenging kit.
  12. Fabricated the tow hooks cut slots in the front & rear fascia
  13. Takes a little trial and error to get them lined up but they work great.
  14. http://zerofourgundam.blogspot.com/2012/01/mg-qant-wip-tamiya-base-coats-and-blues.html Tamiya TS Racing Blue with different Base Coats (Left to Right): TS Silver Leaf, TS Gun Metal and TS Black
  15. Contact Randy at MBW and he will place on an order for them. HRMs stuff sells quickly but Randy is continuously replenishing stock.

  17. I had to devise a way to connect the body and chassis. At the front I went with a hook and cleat. The cleat is attached the body and the hook is the piece of angle attached to the front of the chassis. At the rear I went old school a la AMT with a dowel and socket. The dowel is permanently attached to the body and the socket permanently attached to the chassis.
  18. That's why I posted a picture of CSX2345 Gary, because there can be no doubt it is the authentic Guardsman Blue that Shelby used on the race cars. It finished it last race in 1965 and they parked it. I'm no paint expert either but that doesn't look metallic to my eye. However I've not seen the car in person.
