  1. Thanks Jim.
  2. Removed the center console and made blank door cards. The stock interior that comes in the kit is on the right.
  3. Box behind the driver seat - racing transponder, engine management...?
  4. Love it.
  5. Thanks Andre. Made no adjustments, Fujimi got the stance right out of the box.
  6. Turned out great Pat. Fireball Modelworks offers a very nice wheel/tire upgrade set if you choose to build another.
  7. Roll cage.
  8. Thomas, I removed the the lower part of the rear valance below the crease line. Before: After: On the 1:1 the area below the crease line is painted black to disguise that it is there.
  9. The Lightweight was intended to be a competition model but never raced. I'm going to deviate a bit and build the car as an all out race car. The roll pan at the rear turned under. Porsche painted the lower lip black to disguise it. I chose to remove the lip all together as most 911 race cars have a short rear valance. Also created the 2nd notch on the driver's side for the dual race exhaust. Roll cage construction comes next.
  10. Impressive work.
  11. DMC offer various sponsor sheets. I've ordered from him and they are quality decals. : http://www.dmc-decals.dk/41677957
  12. Welcome to the forum Mark
  13. Thanks Dann. I hope to get some bench time over the Turkey Day break.
  14. Turned out great Joe.
  15. Haven't seen this set before Jon - do you like them?
  16. Looks like a well planed project Casey, I'll be following.
  17. Great stable of T-bolts Paul.
  18. Appreciate the comments and interest gentlemen. Thomas, to add more offset to the wheel I usually find a suitable rim donor and attach it to the outer rim edge as I have done here to create the very deep offset at the rear wheel: Another techniques is to remove the rim center and slip them into an aftermarket aluminum rim sleeves like so:
  19. Thanks Marcos. Good seeing you again and enjoyed your Porsche projects as well.
  20. Thomas here are pictures of the modified wheels. Sliced a section off a spare wheel rim, glued it to the back edge to make rear wheels wider (deeper) glued strips of .010" (0.3 mm) around the circumference of the rim to increase diameter. added strips of tape to fine tune diameter

    My built kits

Brian, very sorry for the loss. Hope you have a place to spend Thanksgiving where you can be among family and friends. Happy to send you a kit if you would like.
  22. Jurgen Barth managed to shave 770 lbs(!) from the standard C4 Thomas - I think that qualifies as Lightweight. I'll post some picture of my wheel modifications when I get a chance. I added the depth (width) to the back of the rim.
  23. Appreciate the research and effort Bill. I have found stripping the chrome often reveals a lot of hidden detail. If it's not to late this would be a good candidate.
  24. Excellent work as always Dale.
