I had the Smer kit and sold it several years back. The Heller kit looks to be much nicer.

I like the digital calipers. I set them for metric and it is like measuring everything in scale as 1 mm = 1" in 1/24 scale (or close enough for me).

I've bought a package of plastic clamps and the a set of calipers there.

Can someone post some side-by-side pictures of the Revell and AMT bodies?

I agree Ed the PC class is so uninteresting and a waste of grid space. Now that IMSA has adopted FIA GT3 regulations we are seeing the GTD class swell. I think they should drop the PC class to make more room for GTD and GTLM cars. Glad no one was hurt in the accident but frankly I was happy the DeltaWing didn't finish. I certainly don't want to see more of these style cars on the grid.

The Stratos did indeed run the Ferrari Dino engine.

CSX2259. Bob Johnson destroyed the car at Sebring flipping the car multiple times after crashing into an Alfa GTZ at over 100 MPH. The remains were hauled back to Shelby American, salvageable parts were removed and the rest was cut-up and thrown in a dumpster.

Setup for an exciting finish.

That's right Maxx. There were several more USRRC Roadsters built to the same basic spec as the FIA cars however.

Ford GT is fast. Bummer both cars had gearbox issues so early.

Haven't decided on specific chassis yet Maxx. Need to see how the conversion turns out before I get too far into details.

We had a good turnout last meeting. Had all the Cobra projects there.

Just can't get enough of the Cobras. Started a FIA Roadster conversion based on the Sunny 427.

No shots of the car I am building but inspirational none the less.

My Dad worked at a Ford dealership for 30+ years. Fords were all he drove. I have driven a Ford of one type or another every since I was old enough to drive. I've owned other brands but I have always had at least one Ford in the garage. As for my taste in vehicles I prefer smaller sport models and exotics, Cobras, Vettes, Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar etc. I appreciate a cars handling as much or more than its out right power, but that mean nothing to me if I don't like the lines of the car.

Fox Sports is covering the event but they bounce coverage back and forth between FS1 and FS2 - I hate that. How are you planning on watching?
