  6. Michael Schumacher's media lawyer has defended the right of the great German's family to fiercely defend his privacy.Tuesday marks the two-year anniversary of the F1 legend's tragic skiing fall in the French Alps, in which he was left with apparently severe brain damage. To date, however, the public is completely in the dark as to Schumacher's precise health condition. Felix Damm, Schumacher's media lawyer, told DPA news agency that the family has every right to defend its privacy, especially as the former Ferrari driver "always drew a clear line" between his public and private life even before the accident."The accident itself was an event of contemporary history and could be reported on," he said."But there is no such requirement once the recovery starts and the public is excluded - it happened in a hospital and now at home."Damm also said in a documentary by the Munich broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk: "I can understand that there are people who have a serious interest in knowing how he's doing. F1: Michael Schumacher's 10 greatest drives <img src='http://a1.fssta.com/content/dam/fsdigital/fscom/MOTORS/images/2014/12/29/MSC/motor_msc0.vadapt.320.medium.15.jpg' alt=''> "On the other side you have to understand and see that he does not race anymore and has the right to his privacy," he added. For some time, the Schumacher family issued statements to update the public about the 46-year-old's condition and recovery. But Damm defended today's total radio silence."You won't be able to say 'I will make a statement and clear up all open questions.' Instead, every statement would lead to new questions," he argued.
  7. I like it. What scale is it?
  8. The wheels I posted measure 17mm O.D. or 17" in 1/24 scale. My guess is they would be consider 15" wheels.
  9. Thanks Mike. Here are the specs on the 289 Cobra, 271BHP @‌ 6000 RPM. Under Options you will see "Aluminum Cobra 2x4V intake"
  10. Good news Len, HRM is casting this top as well and will include it in the kit..
  11. Too bad it didn't include the Super Snake parts Ray.
  12. Sympathy For The Devil Please allow me to introduce myself I'm a man of wealth and taste I've been around for a long, long year Stole many a man's soul and faith And I was 'round when Jesus Christ Had his moment of doubt and pain Made BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH sure that Pilate Washed his hands and sealed his fate Pleased to meet you Hope you guess my name But what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game I stuck around St. Petersburg When I saw it was a time for a change Killed the czar and his ministers Anastasia screamed in vain I rode a tank Held a general's rank When the blitzkrieg raged And the bodies stank Pleased to meet you Hope you guess my name, oh yeah Ah, what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game, oh yeah I watched with glee While your kings and queens Fought for ten decades For the gods they made I shouted out, "Who killed the Kennedys?" When after all It was you and me Let me please introduce myself I'm a man of wealth and taste And I laid traps for troubadours Who get killed before they reached Bombay Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah But what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah But what's confusing you Is just the nature of my game Just as every cop is a criminal And all the sinners saints As heads is tails Just call me Lucifer Cause I'm in need of some restraint So if you meet me Have some courtesy Have some sympathy, and some taste Use all your well-learned politesse Or I'll lay your soul to waste, um yeah Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, um yeah But what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game, um mean it, get down Woo, who Oh yeah, get on down Oh yeah Oh yeah! Tell me baby, what's my name Tell me honey, can ya guess my name Tell me baby, what's my name I tell you one time, you're to blame Ooo, who Ooo, who Ooo, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Oh, yeah What's me name Tell me, baby, what's my name Tell me, sweetie, what's my name Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Oh, yeah
  13. I have these in my collection. I got them in a wheel lot that I bought so I don't know the source. They are a little different from the ones Casey posted. The spoke recess is flat as well as the grease cap.
  14. Dragonsnakes were offered with (3) different induction systems: Stage I – single 4 barrel carb, rated at 270HP Stage II – dual 4-barrel carbs, rated at 300HP Stage III – Weber carbs, rated at 325HP The teams would change back and forth between the induction systems, at the strip, so that they could run in different classes. I already have a few Weber feed Cobras in the collection so I am choosing to model a Stage II car. The high rise intake and carbs come from the Monogram/Revell 427 and where modified to fit the small block. Here is what it looks like painted and plumbed.

  17. Fabricated the Dragonsnake's unique side pipes.
  18. Here is the '70 Olds kit showing the same engine.
  19. I have about a dozen Cobra books Gene. I make notes as I research. But I recently got the Shelby bible, the SAAC Registry. It list every car Shelby ever produced (Cobras, Mustangs, GT40s, King Cobras etc.) by chassis number. Gives the original build details of each chassis. Great reference.
  20. The block does have a small notch on the bottom edge. Here is the instruction sheet for the '68 Olds 442 FC kit.
  21. My sons high school music teacher tuned him onto this Band: Snarky Puppy. I like it.
  22. Copy any image (right click-copy) and post it (right click-paste) in a thread.
  23. Thanks Steve, the car you saw is indeed a genuine Dragonsnake, chassis CSX2472. What's unique about this car is that it was never drag raced! The original owner used it as street car, and a subsequent owner road raced it. That extra tall roll bar is unique to this car as well.
